Is it not on Amazon Prime? Usually that's where I find it.

The whole series is mesmerizing
His description of Forrest at Fallen Timbers and then his recollection of meeting Forrest's granddaughter, are seared in my mind.

That series made the Civil War fascinating to me when I was a kid.

It's on YouTube. There is some tinkering with it to get around Copyright but it's still fine.

Did you try PBS streaming?

That and the late Shelby Foote with his extensive knowledge of the Civil War talking in that Southern drawl with that baritone voice. He sounded like he could have been one of the Confederate Generals leading that war.
His books on the Civil War are excellent reading.
ETA: Also the readings of the letters and journals were chilling to listen to. People wrote with so much more feeling and eloquence back then.

I checked that this morning, unfortunately it is not prime eligible so purchase is required.

I usually do also. Looked for it on prime last week, and it wasn't on free prime anymore. I wanted you to rent it. They did have other Ken Burns ones on free prime.

Ken Burns recently did country music as well. Very informative and so much history.

That was an excellent documentary series and covered just about all bases of country music up to about the time it turned more into "Country Pop", then he graciously pulled the plug.
I grew up listening to a lot of country music from the 50's on and it was a staple in my Godfather's house since he had around 3000 LP's on hand to chose from and he listened to it for hours on end when off work.

It covered the history until 96. After that it wasn't much history to cover.
