I really liked this show and the whole last part of the final season is all blurry. I might have to rewatch this.

“God did it” is the explanation the writers went with and it is summarily unsatisfying considering all the work they did to set up something more compelling.
the ending of this series makes sense only in the moment. Once it is considered even for a few minutes it completely falls apart both from a narrative and logical standpoint. They blew it

The last season was writing by the seat of their pants and didn’t make much sense as a result.
This includes Starbuck the phantom amongst other things.
In general, the ride was good but the end didn’t really pay off.

It did not help that they started splitting the seasons into half seasons, then taking a year to year and a half in between each. That killed a lot of interest in the show, besides moving it from Sunday to Friday night

Speaking of Starbuck and since ya finished the show, this might be interesting - Katee Sackhoff had never watched BSG herself before and decided it would be fun to do a react series. With her husband, no less.
