Doing a Deadwood rewatch for the 1st time in a decade and E.B. Farnum is one of the greatest supporting characters of any show in cinematic history.

Add in Doc Cochran (Brad Douriff).

I agree. Just finished watching it for the first time and I think I could rewatch right now. Probably my favorite show of all time, cocksucker.

it’s pretty amazing how perfectly cast that show was. Nobody is out of place and many (like farnum, the doc, even Jeffrey Jones) are so believable and so “of the time” that the show is immersive

The last time I binged it I was having dreams of being in that world at night. That’s very unusual

That’s one of the things I like most, even the speech is period correct. It isn’t 2004 lingo, it’s how people spoke at the time.

ETA forgot to throw a cocksucker into this post, cocksuckers.

Every Shakespearean tragedy has to have its grand fool and EB filled the role almost perfectly.

Like several in this thread, I just finished a rewatch a few weeks ago and I agree EB was the best supporting character the entire show is filled with them.

Doc was my favorite character. One of the few truly decent people in the camp.

It took me forever to realize the same actor played the toy maker from Blade Runner

We need to drain the Black Hills of those cocksuckers in Yankton.

Make Dakota Great Again.

We don't need E.B. Farnum and his liberal agenda.

I'm Charlie Utter and I approve this message.

E.B.’s dialogues with himself are worth the price of admission alone. Agree with OP and comments. What a great show.

He’s EB Farnum, the doll maker in Blade Runner, and Larry of Larry, Darryl, and Darryl.
