Godzilla (1998): Get rid of the Iguana design. Change the Matthew Broderick scientist character to an action star.

Ya know, that’s not that bad of an idea. But definitely drop the 3D.

The new Godzilla would have been much better had they drop the stupid Eco-terrorists and their plan to fix the planet. I thought the monsters were well done however.

Man of Steel:
As Superman fights Zod and finally gets him in the headlock they struggle. Superman is doing everything he can not to have to kill him. Instead he uses his super intelligence and overall “goodness” to convince Zod that he still has a purpose. He and his crew can leave earth and go ding the other Kryptonian outposts.
Superman should always be able to come up with a solution other than killing.

Independence Day 2
Get rid of the fake looking cgi and spend more time on effects. Get real F-18s like Tom Cruise in Maverick, just update them with sci fi weapons.
Thats just a start.
Age of Ultron.
Cut out Ultron being a goofy character. Make him more sinister, like Thanos. Give him a better design and remove all the misplaced goofy jokes. Remove the hundreds of Ultron bots.
Indiana jones Crystal skull
Dont even make it.

Tbh, the first half of this movie was pretty decent except for the whole “surviving a nuclear explosion in a refrigerator” scene. It really went off the rails during the jungle car chase when Shia Lebuff started vine swinging with monkeys.

I rented that movie not long after it became available to rent and was watching it in bed, this scene is when I turned it off. I never finished it, and I haven't even watched one scene since then

You made the right decision. It only gets worse from there.

Attack of the Clones-
Less time on Naboo with Anakin and Padme. More time on the 'who is the assassin plot.' Give the impression that Nute Gunray is calling the shots and planning the attempts. Have more of attempts on Padme's life. Have Anakin and Padme growing closer through constant peril that Anakin keeps saving her from.
Present Dooku as the political idealist the Jedi assume him to be for most of the film. Make him appear reluctant or even resistant to executing Obi-Wan, Padme, and Anakin. Play up his pleas to Mace Windu to stand down. Maybe even have him beg the Separatist to spare the remaining Jedi. We should not suspect he is a Sith until he shoots lighting at Anakin, and it should not be confirmed until he ignites his red lightsaber.

I feel like AOTC is a pretty good movie up until Anakin and Padme go to Naboo. I do feel, however, that the assassin plot and the “who payed for this giant conveniently time army” plots were abandoned too quickly. From then on, the movie is just scene after scene of CGI chaos with little rhyme or reason.

The Last Jedi:
1. Leah dies when the bridge gets blown up along with Akbar.
2. Holdo explains at some point that she believes there is a mole on board with a tracking device allowing the Empire to track them through hyperspace. A couple scenes aboard the rebel ship trying to find the mole or the tracking device. Turns out, the Empire is using the same device Holdo was using for Rey to find the fleet.
3. Luke actually tries to train Rey some, but reluctantly. Yoda definitely doesn’t use force lightening to burn books.
4. Nix the whole Casino side planet plot.
5. When Ben offers for Rey to join him, she does.
6. Luke arrives in person to save the rebels on the salt planet and when he learns that Rey has joined Ben, he goes Obi-Wan and allows himself to be struck down.
7. A few rebels manage to blast their way out and escape on the falcon, but the movie ends with the Resistance basically gone except for a few of our favorites (who feel betrayed) and Ben and Rey together trying to bring peace to the galaxy through the first order.

How to fix bad movies?
Have Predator appear out of no where and kill the shittiest character in that movie.
Imagine Jar Jar walking along and Predator appears behinds him and kills him.

Imagine a big reveal that Jar Jar is a Sith Lord

They teased Rey falling to the dark side a lot in the sequel trilogy. I wish they would have allowed it to happen, would have made for a much more interesting story

The other interesting potential story they abandoned was how Ben couldn’t pull the trigger on his mom, but she was blown up anyways. If she had died there, the moral dilemma of feeling responsible for her death yet also knowing he was neither capable of inflicting or stopping it would have been a really fascinating part of his light/dark struggle.
