I'm a straight man, so I don't see musicals. But if you enjoy them, well, that's just fabulous.

Well, y'all are missing out. the movie is great fun, and Nicole Kidman is in various states of undress. Ewan McGregor also has a surprisingly good singing voice.

I like a good musical, and Baz Luhrman is one of the more over-the-top directors. His style is well suited to the movie musical. The movie is a total blast. Get over yourselves. Take your girl to a musical and she'll probably have sex with you afterwards.

Moulin Rouge was great and there were some great dance numbers in it. My boyfriend at the time thought Nicole looked pretty hot too.

I ain't afraid. I loved it. Me and my wife were dating at the time and watched it together. I guess you'd call it "our movie." As far as the music, I thought it was great. Very well done. This movie has got it all...love, jealousy, revenge, interesting story, tragedy, good music, two great leading characters, great supporting characters, a weasel of a villain. I loved the way it was edited too. If that girl didn't win an award that year, she should have. I liked everything about it.

I watched it, and I thought it was surprisingly good.

I thought that Ewan McGregor's performance of Your Song was pretty good.

Absolutely true. Although generally speaking, musical theater works better onstage for me.

And Moulin Rouge was interesting, but Baz Lurman's quick cut editing was a distraction.
