RT ceased being relevant and trustworthy when it overtly changed the rules to favor reviews when Captain Mary Sue,...err. Marvel was released. It's a total shill site and not worth a damn for movie reviews.

I don't think you know how RT works...

Outside of Phoenix's acting the movie is only slightly above average. As a Batman tie in its very weak.

So outside 90% of the movie it was weak?

I quit caring after it went full tilt shill and altered the fan side of the site.

You got triggered that they changed the rule so that you couldn't leave an audience score before the movie was released?

And you think RT was the problem?

I didn't get triggered in the least, they did. That's why they changed the rules, because they were trying to shrill for one particular movie and fans weren't having any of it.

Then it was proven RT stuffed the ballot boxes, as it were , and played favorites with canned movie reviews... it's not any great secret, but if you want to carry on w/ the pretense that the site plays it fair and on the level, that's your call.

Easy target for SJW wannabees who jumped on the "do we need another white guy pushed to violence movie"?

Maybe.

But the movie has a strong theme of simmering tension mixed with outbreaks of violence toward the wealthy, privileged, and authority.

Those elements should resonate with the sjw crowd, unless they were put off that the symbol for this rage was a white guy.

Look at the reviews from American critics. A lot of them hated that it was about a "white male." Most of the international critics liked it.

Example...

quote:

September 10, 2019

A movie with the message this one hammers home again and again... feels too volatile, and frankly too scary, to separate from the very real violence committed by young men like Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck in America almost every day.

Exactly. It's sad that reviews are politicized now.

I think even people who hate Interstellar find it insane that Ghostbusters 2020 has a better score than it.

The reason to not use the site is the black or white nature of the math. A critic compiling site doesn't need a user side, and them needing to change the rules because a pack of internet trolls were scoring a movie they hadn't yet been able to see showed that.

But feel free to continue reading garbage on the internet that stokes conspiracies about such important, world-changing subjects as review aggregating websites and how "fair" they are. Your anger is obviously so righteous.

No anger here on my part, but if you're cool with being lied to, carry on and go about your merry day.

The claim that mythical internet trolls FORCED RT to change the way it does its ratings, but the fact is, they continue to stuff the ballot boxes with hinky " reviews " and ratings for certain movies. Movies which have large budgets or overtly promote a SJW approved social message.

Are you aware that you just sourced your opinion with a video from a YouTube moron who neither sources his argument nor provides any moderately convincing evidence of his opinion?

Are both he and you not aware that the demographic audience difference between She-Ra and the Haunting of Hill House might play into why they have different amounts of user scores?

You can't just call something politically motivated and move on without providing any justification, and expect people to just agree with what you're sayi--OH WAIT! That's exactly what you did. You did agree with him based on nothing. Sorry.

Dude, I don't like RT, but you're posting dumb shite.

Disney has bought off the rotten tomatoes critics to manipulate the scores and up rate marvel and down vote DC.

You clearly didn't watch the video.
He broke down the numbers clear as day. And that was just one example. He has other videos, as do many others, if you'd like to crawl out of your safe space.

It's not fun learning that you've been lied to. I get it. You want to deny and attack the messenger.

This may take some time, but you'll be stronger for it in the end.

It’s a comic book movie that isn’t a bright and colorful and cheery Disney movie nor is it some SJW propaganda so yeah, shut head critics didn’t like it.
