What exactly is the fascination with JGL?

Nolan set the standard (as well as Christian Bale) for Batman movies. The only thing that's been worthy since this trilogy was Wonder Woman. The rest has been shite. BA is to Batman as TM was to Spider-Man.

:eyeroll:
Christian Bale did not set the standard for Batman.

Let's hope. McGuires first two Spiderman movies were solid and he didn't do a terrible job albeit not a carbon copy Parker from the comics.

I could only agree with the OP'S opinion if this were young early 2000s BA. Now though, after years of acting and directing, he's an excellent BW. He has the chops now and for those that don't see it, they're fricking clueless.
JGL as Batman, get the frick outta with that shite. Might as well make Tobey McGuire Batman too.

Personally I think Ben Affleck has made a very good Batman and these Superman movies are better than all the others.
I have re-watched them 2 times each over the other Batman and Superman movies, the 60's movies are very campy, the later 70's and 80's are the same.
Only the 1978 Superman movie is any good, and it is still a little campy.
Christian Bale also made a good Batman.

Don't worry he's the edward Norton of DC, like how Norton played Hulk but replaced by Mark. Mark worked out well.

Ben Affleck is a fine Batman.

/every Bruce Wayne in films. He'll always be a changing face, which makes the character have so many interpretations.
Flipmside, people will lose their shite whenever the next actor to be portray Tony stark is announced.

Well considering that it will be a young black intelligent woman, probably.

No, I'm just saying a different actor for tony. I highly doubt they would ever make an iron man movie with riri. We'd have more of chance of having war machine as iron man in movie before riri.

The days of Affleck being a punchline have long passed.
He is a great director and he has done a solid job of acting in a pile of movie.
So for such a late to the party post....
5 whacks from O'Bannion.

Fair enough. But has there been any explanation of that scene?

Problem is already solved. Tony is a side kick character for Riri Williams, just like in the comics. Hologram, which mean he can just do voice over and if he doesn't want to than they can get someone cheaper. Either way the NExt Iron Man is a 15 year old black girl.

What is exactly wrong with Affleck?

For many years I was of the opinion Affleck was a lame a$$ as an actor period but I've started to enjoy his movies. As a producer, I thought Argo was way overrated but the Accountant and his dual role in Live By Night were much better than I expected. After getting used to Nolan and Christian Bale, who I like as an actor anyway, I expected crap in SM vs. BM but thought he did a very good job. I'm really looking forward to The Batman and Justice League. As for JGL as Batman? ...not a good idea IMO.

Source please, cause otherwise you can apply the same logic to falcon Cap, Cho-Hulk, and Lady - Thor.
And none of that will ever happen in the movies. Just like you'll never see a Dick Grayson Batman or Conner Kent Superman on screen.
