This chart could be labeled "shittiness level of Taylor Swift albums". Her first three albums were really good. More cussing to hide the shittiness of the lyrics equates to shittier music.

I honestly can't say I've ever been able to listen to more than one of her songs at a time. They're all so awful and the lyrics show her to be a terrible person. Never heard her use profane language in any of the songs I've heard though so this was something of a shock to me. Will definitely avoid this concert on D+.

You really should only listen to one at a time.

Examples? Not disputing, but curious what lyrics you’re referring to.

Agreed. If you listen to more than one of her songs at a time your ears will probably start bleeding.

All she does is blame the men she chooses to date for her poor relationship choices. She's the poster child for the "nothing is ever my fault" female mentality.

This must be an anti-Trump conspiracy, what does Q say about it?

Who knows what Q says about it.

However, Pedo Peter is a big fan of Taylor Swift’s prime audience.

For letting a teenager listen to Taylor Swift.
You are either a troll or you do not have a daughter/daughters

Because most of her fans grew up with her and have listen to her from the beginning.
I’ve always thought she was a great musician role model when my daughter was pre teen and older.
I did hate when she started getting political. But she’s cooled off from that since then

She’s older now even though she has younger fans, I don’t blame her from trying to be a little edgier in her lyrics although sometimes I think she throws out a Fvck just for the sake of it. It doesn’t really flow IMO.

I bet you kids listen to way crappier and worse music than this and you don’t even know about it.
At least this girl is a real musician. Who can sing, write lyrics, and play multiple instruments.

So, you don't listen to her songs but have an opinion on the lyrics?

This must’ve really triggered you a touch to start a whole thread on the OT about it.

The pearl clutching is hilarious at best.

As a pre-teen and a young teen, I listened to mainly late 60s and 70s rock mixed in with a little pop of the day. Much of it had themes of drinking, drugging, and partying. The music was also sexually charged with lots of double entendres and straight-up sexual themes. Swift is damn near puritanical in comparison. Bon Scott and the Young brothers flat-out told us we were on a Highway to Hell.

That's not what the person you responded to was saying at all. He responded to this post:

quote:

This was the response that you quoted and completely took out of context:

quote:

Seems absolutely justified in context because anyone who regularly and intentionally swears around his/her children is absolutely a trash parent.

Old time gospel music is better than that Christian pop garbage.

I'm curious where the F-bombs were that the OP was talking about. Did he ever come back to explain? Does Taylor actually have. naughty words in her lyrics now?

There's a few songs that have it. Betty, Champagne Problems, All Too Well, Vigilante shite. There might be one more. Vigilante shite and Betty are the 2 where it is probably most notable. The Vigilante shite section looks like a pretty bawdy Vegas show number. If your kid is probably 10 or older and a Swift fan, they know those songs anyway. If they're younger, they probably won't even notice.
