How did Glenn Close not win an award for Hillbilly Elegy? Should have won Best Picture.

I’m pretty sure every single person involved with that movie did it as an Oscar grab.

I haven’t seen it, but wasn’t it nominated for several Razzies and considered by many to be atrocious?

Atrocious? No way. It was a good movie. The protagonist is a white male conservative, that's the real issue with the film.

This movie was a joke. Watch the other movies nominated and get back to us.

Hollywood couldn't condemn the characters in the movie for abusing their white privilege so they ignored the film entirely.

Movie was awful, it sucked but the one thing I took away from it was that even looking like a frumpy heroin addict, Amy Adams could still get it

I thought it was good. I think it hit home with me. I’ve known some white trash in my day and Glenn Close did a mighty fine job acting like some of the old women.

No dude. The real issue is that the movie butchered what was an absolutely stellar book. It just wasn’t a good execution of elite source material. Y’all are just as bad as the everything is racist crowd.
