Might I recommend this.

GOT/HoTD has always been a show largely revolving around political intrigue. This isn't anything new.

Now that they're gay, yep I agree

Because of course they are. They needed to hit their gay quota.

It's definitely going too slowly. These people will go for 8 seasons if they can get away with it so I'm not optimistic. This practice of squeezing every drop of blood will only produce bloated and/or boring crap, as it did for The Hobbit.

Just popping in to say that scene before Rhaenyra rides away:

No need for dramatics, im a huge GoT fan. Im just saying since the battle at Harranhall (sp) it’s been a bit of a crawl

Is this the episode that made George RR Martin write that blog post about television adaptations being different from the books

I thought the episode was good with the exception of Rhaynera and Missarya making out. That's aggravating to me.

The actors did a good job. I liked when Rhaynera slapped a dude. I liked Aemond putting is mom in place. I liked Daemond and Alys talking. I liked Sir Steffon getting torched after he thought he was good. I liked Seasmoke chasing Hull around.

Probably overthinking it but I do wonder why Aemond didn’t want to fly into battle again. It could’ve been nothing, just him asserting his authority. Or maybe it’s because Vhagar was hurt in the last flight and she needs to convalesce, but no one else knows about the extent of her injuries and Aemond isn’t completely confident he could take on Daemond at the moment.

I haven't read F&B yet. Does Rhaenyra and the queen of whores make out in the book too, or was that just added to the show?

Why do two girls making out bother some of you?

Pretty good episode imo.

You get trouble brewing in Kings Landing, an attempt to tame a dragon, then said dragon finds a new rider. Plus developments from Oldtown (or lack thereof from Otto). Lord Tully is dead. Criston is marching. I probably still left something out.

not in the book. HBO felt the need to add it in

Yeah this episode was kind of blah to me. I haven't read the books but I hate the lesbian scene. It adds nothing to the story. I really hope that was a one off

Weird that dragonstone would have more food than kings landing. I guess she could've just bought it from across the narrow sea tho

did you miss the like 6 episodes this season mentioning the blockade?

I think Aemond is pissed that he just got what he wanted, and some lower house is calling for him to come protect/save them. It doesn't sound like they were asking it sounded like them telling him to come. Especially a Lannister because they seem to be bitches. They obviously won't be.

I just don't know where dragonstone got a surplus of food. It's a pretty small/mountainous island.

Kings landing should still be able to get food from the crownlands. A blockade shouldnt be able to block its land supplies.

Especially when one was in love with another woman to start the series and the other is a literal whore that will do anything for power.

People will complain it was slow but it moves quite a bit forward, it’s just not on a battlefield.

You also get some more Alys Rivers development and her involvement in things (she was trying to “heal” Lord Tully).

And we’re absolutely getting Daeron Targaryen. Really setting up his arrival.
