I thought so too, kinda bad way to take a brotha out. Good scene though.

I thought so at first too, but then later Helaena is asking for her and she was nowhere to be found.

That little bit of writing is pretty brilliant though as we want to think Alicent is being kind and merciful to the girl her son raped. But the reality is she likely had to eliminate her and given her conversation she hasn't been the only one either.

She was giving off Cersei vibes. I thought she may kill her too but looking back, from what I saw in the scene nothing indicates she killed her. It's vague and we are left to assume whatever we believe.

Do we know if the writers are returning for season 2? I think the dialogue has been superb which is a great sign considering there’s barely, if any, dialogue in the book. Looks like they know how to write Thrones scenes effectively and follow the story

Why would she give her the sack of money before giving her poison? It was plan b tea and she's nowhere to be found because she took the money and gtfo of kind's landing.

Also curious who to the other woman was at the end. Kind of looked like the maiden or whoever who came to tell Alicent about the other maiden who got the rape.

Oh she killed her. She's fighting tooth and nail. Do you think she would let the maid live on? Do you think Otto would allow her to be merciful?

Because the maid would resist if the queen handed her the cup and said "please drink this poison quietly and don't run away, shout, or otherwise cause a scene"

I only want to add this in regards to plan B tea.

Never think the best of characters in this world, they are all cut throat and will do whatever is necessary to protect their station.

And I agree every time the prince that was promised is mentioned I get angry all over again about ninja Arya flying out of the dark to kill the night king.

As Sakswatch said, it would give the girl the impression that she was going to be allowed to leave and she wouldn't resist drinking the "poison" if she thought it was just Moon Tea.

The one in the cloak was the one who brought the tea in for Alicent to give the girl. I'm pretty sure she's a lady-in-waiting or servant for the Queen. So she'd know ALL of Alicent's dirty little secrets.

Big question is, who is Mysaria collecting these secrets for? Herself? On behalf of Daemon? On behalf of someone like Larys?

Yes Otto probably would, Larys sure as shite would. But She has never given us a reason to think she is a killer other than wanting a eye once.

As I said, what we believe is only an assumption.

I guess...I just see it that the Queen is telling you to drink something and you're a lowly hand maid, you're going to do whatever she tells you to do. Don't see why Alicent would need to offer up the money to make her think it's not poison.

The scene where Viserys takes off his mask for his family gave me chills. You can tell he really does love all of them and wishes they could be a proper loving family. He has his weaknesses but he is probably one of the only truly decent people on the show. He will be missed.

Possible SPOILERS from the preview for next weeks episode (for those who don't watch them)

Could the little blond child in the cell be a bastard of Aegon and one of his victims? Could that be the tie in with the whispering from the end of this past episode?

Not a book reader, but the kid definitely had some Targ hair.

Without giving much away I will say that Targaryen bastards or those who claim to be do have a part to play in the story so I think you are right.

You mean like that time she tried to kill Rhaenyra?

Or when she told Larys she will have use of him and refused to turn him in for massacring a city?

She's been steadily going down this path each episode, and I also thought she likely poisoned the girl. But it was ambiguous enough to go either way.

If she did, the money simply being an easy way to get her to think she's trying to help and minimize any resistance(afterall, once she's dead pretty easy to get the coin back)

Yeah, I think she essentially paid her to go away.

Really no point in doing a dog and pony show with tea and money if she was just going to have her killed. She could've easily just contacted Larys and told him to quietly get rid of her.

I’m not sure I buy this. I’ll admit the thought crossed my mind as well while it was happening. But I think the scene was pretty clear. Alicent threatened her with what would happen if she told anyone else, gave her a morning after tea, and paid her to go away (the bag she handed to the servant girl).

It just seems like the writers would have given us some indication of the truth if she had actually poisoned the girl. They didn’t really imply that at all. Also seems out of character for Alicent to get her own hands dirty like that.

As for the girl not being around later in the episode - Alicent gave her a sack of coins to go away. I wouldn’t think either party wanted her to stick around after that.

If she poisoned her then they need to show her dead from The poison otherwise it does nothing for us the viewers

We know that’s Plan B tea. If we’re supposed to think Alicent is ruthless for this then it need to be explicit.

It can be secretive to the characters in that world, but not the viewer or else it does nothing.

I think It’s plan B and a payoff to show how routine this is.
