Wouldn’t be Game of Thrones if some dad wasn’t pimping out his daughter

I’m curious how most of the Iron Throne disappears over time
ETA: Watching GOT finale and hearing Dany talk about the Iron Throne as 1000 swords makes sense now with how it’s depicted here

The king is definitely dying from that infection maybe that’s why they changed it out later on

I also didn’t know the baby died.
I heard him crying and then it sounded like maybe the baby got choked on some spit or something.
Didn’t realize that meant death for the baby.
Damn

Balish and verys talk about that in the early seasons too.
Balish says "only 380 (or so) I've counted"

Kings speech of a song of ice and fire just made me pissed off all over again with GOT
Sort of glad they kept the theme, not gonna lie.

I’m pleased with the first episode. People need to let go of the GOT s8 hatred.

Definitely setting up a real GOT feel.

Definitely has potential. Hopefully they don't F it up like GOT at the end. Nice touch at end with GOT theme song.

Pretty solid episode overall, the CGI is underwhelming I’ll say but everything else was great. Got goosebumps at the end with the remixed Dany theme and OG GOT theme

I do like that they show him being maimed by the throne. That was something they really pushed in the stories about the Mad King.
I really like Matt Smith as Daemon. Just has the right amount of snark and disdain to pull it off. He also got thick as frick for this role.
That C-section, tho. fricking yikes.

Thought the episode was great. Characters are all intriguing (king is the least) so excited to see where it goes
And lol to whoever said there wouldn’t be nudity

Was that the same dagger used to try and kill Bran Stark in season 1 of GOT?

I thought so too.
And other CGI aside, it was pretty cool to see Harrenhal.

I thought the CGI was fine. The dragons looked good which is the main thing.
