Haven't read GRRM's stuff on this, but I did sub to MAX and am now caught up to all things HOT-D. Not even sure I'm moved enough to 'pick a side', but I have enjoyed the show so far. The set pieces, the actors, wardrobe... it's full on Broadway compared to RoP's community theatre.
No, that's unfair. To community theatre.
Amazon is Cosplay, at best. Bad cosplay.
Guess most folks already know what's coming, so the only real surprise will be how well it's done.

So much this. How many Game of Thrones fans a year ago (including myself to a point) were saying “I won’t watch this new show because I know how it ends” with the terrible Season 8 of GOT? HBO learned its lesson and recognized this universe as its cash cow. Now they have three to four green lit series and aren’t going to disappoint again.

A son for a son! Tonight’s the night. Everyone I have seen who got the 4 episode screener has said it was absolutely fantastic.
One weird thing from the Trailer is Jayce is at his brothers funeral. Do we think he flies back there from the vale before heading to meet the wolf of the north and making the pact of ice and fire? I don’t see how it works any other way.

Also since this is the spoiler thread the shot of baela on her dragon at rooks rest where she wasn’t at in fire in blood if I remember where she’s screaming in emotional anguish has to be her watching her grandma die, yes?

I can’t find what image you’re talking about but if they decide to to like total balls to the wall iirc it’s been a while since I read fire and blood but I think a total of 26 dragons were involved in this conflict in one way or another.

It's a shame we won't get a scene of the targareyan girl flying west on the biggest dragon only to return in really bad shape and a severely injured dragon

My theory is Rhaenyra shared the prophecy from the dagger with him as the heir is supposed to know it and this will be what eventually seals their bond and alliance. They might throw in the marriage alliance too from fire and blood but I’m almost positive they go to the wall because Jayce knows the prophecy.

I couldn’t quite tell in the Stark was promising 1,000 Northmen or 1,000 Night’s Watch. If it was the Watch, that is certainly different than the Watch refusing to take sides in any conflict between houses.
