Hollywood turned Terminator into a fricking telenovela

T2 is my favorite movie of all-time and Arnold is basically my hero, but I decided to not support this garbage due to the leaks. Well, it’s finally free on Prime and what a sad state of affairs, lads. fricking Mexican soap opera with a testosterone-filled, gender neutral, pixie cut Terminator. Don’t think I’ll even make it 15 minutes into it

Kill me if u want I really enjoyed Dark Fate. BY FAR best since T2
Rev 9 was frickin sick he could split into 2 for god sake and was unkillable basically. Also Arnie and Linda killed it. He was truly hard to kill machine. Could hack into anything become anyone.
So did Mackenzie. Guess I was more starved for a legit Terminator. Dark Fate was 100× better then 3, salvation, and gynesis if u combined those pos movies

But that's what dark fate is, a pastiche of old ideas into a movie
>aged terminator - genesys
>augmented human - salvation
>Terminator that kills John Connor becomes good - T3

Honestly I was disappointed
If you're gonna steal ideas from the old movies, and try and shock people, why not flip the original on its head
Have someone from the resistance coming after the maker of skynet (ala 2) and have skynet send a terminator back to protect them.
Then you get the moral ambiguity so many love to have

Was it the best it could of been? Nope. Still very enjoyable to me

So call things in which you saw a couple Mexicans telenovellas, and you give your final grades to movies 15 minutes in? You sound cool. Not that this movie is any good, but I'm not sure why you have an issue with the strong female when t2 is your favorite film of all time. I guess the internet tools you hate this, so you did.

Telenovelas are better. They’re actually hilarious and pretty sure they consistently show the titties.

It's a good movie to me
Entertaining from start to finish basically
Also loved how Sarah and the Terminator that killed her son had to work together
Solid ending too. It took a hell of a lot to kill that Rev 9
Loved Arnold just waiting for the day while sending Sarah those coordinates too. Then when his time came he went out like a G
First 10 min this shite kicks off with a bang and the rev 9 was just suck. That's undeniable

It took me reading a few posts to figure out you were talking about Dark Fate, which was disappointing because an actual telenovela based on Terminator really intrigued me.

Interesting.
I wonder if it could be done where there is no bond between creator and the terminator and the story is all from the creator's perspective. He doesn't know why he's under attack and why this other entity keeps getting involved, like a long chase movie (aren't they all in some way?). Perhaps without the bond between man/machine the movie loses emotional weight or gets a Mad Max vibe?
Maybe at the end he finds out but by then they already set things in motion, the inevitably of Skynet theme.

If T2 is you favorite movie of all time then Dark Fate will probably just piss you off. I love T1 and T2. DF just shite s all over them and makes them irrelevant in the first 5 minutes.
Once I got over the anger of that opening scene....it was an ok Terminator film. Better than the last few imo. I actually really liked Mckenzie Davis character a lot. Kinda reminded me of Reese in some ways. Alas it appears the franchise is dead though so this story..as with the sequels after T2 will go no where...so they ruined the legacy of the first 2 films for no reason. Damn now I'm pissed again.
