How anyone would think the premise would continue to work behind a paywall and most importantly, without Krasinski is mind boggling.

This. They'll get some eyes based on the subscribers they have, but they will lost literally anyone not on CBS All Access.

Can't talk bad about the guy because his wife comes across as a 1st rate count/snob. So he probably needs these projects to stay busy away from her and make more money.
I saw her on a show once with Kasinski and she was complaining how her kids often speek in that awful American accent and pronunciation and she has to correct them.
And they asked her what's one thing that drives you crazy about your husband and she says "he's always wearing those bloody awful ball caps...you know the ones that little boys wear in the field."

Because CBS All Access is a stupid venture but they need content. IF CBS is basically buying some views that will come with just the name recognition, how bad must their numbers really be?
