alajones2 and I have been binging this series for a few weeks. I’m going to give it about a B-.
It’s not Golden Girls LOL, it isn’t Frasier level witty, it isn’t compelling like West Wing. It’s just kind of…fine.
Jean Smart is great. I feel like the writers of the show lean way too hard on self destructing conflicts with her. Like, it’s okay to have obstacles for her to overcome without them being of her own making.
Do they realize what an insufferable Gen Z bitch Ava is? Is it on purpose?
How easy would it have been for her to tell TV exec a-hole that she’d welcome a lawsuit and she could Me Too the frick out of him? Why is that elephant in the room just ignored?
I love Jimmy and Marcus. They steal a lot of the scenes they are in.
Anyway, it’s pretty funny, but Ava is very unlikeable. She sucks a lot more than she doesn’t.

Well of course, that's the point. That's why they actually balance each other out. Deborah has some bad parts of the boomers and Ava has some bad parts of Gen Z. Ava even knows she's a cliche Gen Z at times. I personally think she's a good bit funnier of a character than Deborah.

That’s pretty much the bit between her and Debra.
So far enjoyed it. Ava did crack me up at being disgusted over the sex worker being a magician. When she pulls the blanket up over her tits when he starts to show her a trick, I was dying.

I’ve really enjoyed this show
I hated Ava until last season and now I enjoy her. Especially after seeing her great rack. I feel like she knows her place now

Really enjoyed episode 7 where Ava has to carry the fake lesbian relationship.. I laughed out loud when she got her shite rocked by the Waymo . wouldn’t be shocked if that one is nominated for writing Emmy’s and Cherie jones and Leslie Bibb get guest supporting actress nominations

I pretty much laughed the whole episode.
Also, Jimmy and Kayla with the comedian, the bed bugs, and the whole nine yards. I could legitimately watch a spinoff of their agency with Randi.

Ava showed her tits last season. This epi was so lol. Leslie Bibbs butt was nice. Wanted see her & Ava get it on.
