I thought it kinda sucked
compared to GOTG #1

I don't know about "sucked," but I thought the first one was better as well. And I liked GotG2, but thought it felt way too long when I saw it.

So I did think it was good, just not as good as the first one.

It’s not ranked as high as it should be, from what I’ve seen, in MCU/comic book movies.

I thinks it’s in Top 10 of MCU.

I disagree. Guardians 1 was a better soundtrack but the songs in Guardians 2 fit more

When a movie has character development, great things happen

It all has to do with the difference in exceptions IMO. The 1st one had absolutely none. The 2nd had a really high bar to clear. That makes people's perception distorted.

Some parts were cheesy, like the opening sequence. Popular franchises get too full of their own popularity sometimes. However, overall, the movie is good, IMO. I do encounter a lot of teens and 20 somethings who love the first one but hate the second. It's not as good, but I don't understand the sharp contrast.

That's the fun thing about Ego. He probably lied about being a Celestial. Because he's Ego and full of himself.

I wish they'd left Kurt Russell flubbing Star Lord into Star Wars in.

Agreed. Ego using “Brandy” to explain his relationship with Quills mom was brilliant

I get it, but no, he’s a celestial.

Quite honestly, imo, the moral of the story wasn’t made especially for them.

It’s about realizing maybe your dad wasn’t the dick you thought he was and whatever glorified idol you seek isn’t all what it’s crack up to be.

I don’t think that kind of life lesson resonates until you’re 30 with kids and whatnot.

I don;t hear that as a reason why. They just think it's too full of itself. They're not wrong, but that fact doesn't make it complete shite to me.

It has a 7.6 imdb score, %84 RT and not bad critics reviews.

The movie is pretty well liked.
