Haven’t finished this series yet but Vergara really shines. As does the rest of the cast. Very tight, well written series so far.

Fun to see Vergara putting on all that makeup to look ugly.

I finished it up last night; it was okay but nowhere near the quality of Narcos.
Who was tipping off Rivi in the final episode about Rafa coming to Los Angeles?

the Girl Boss Cop vs the Girl Boss Drug Dealer storyline was dumb

Girl Boss Cop was an analyst, not the lead detective showing up the chauvinists on the investigation of the most notorious criminal in Miami from 1980-1985

Girl Boss Drug Dealer was a psychopath and not some noble single mom trying to prove to the whole cocaine industry that she was a capable business woman

the real stories are crazy enough without tying some Hollywood morality play BS into the episodes

I'm glad I saw this thread. Seems like I won't be watching this after all.

Her story should be a batshit crazy one.

Well, look at what they had to work with. That damn woman had absolutely no reservations when it came to administering her form of justice on people she felt disrespected or tried to rip her off---------and that included her husband.

She was one of the most ruthless women of the "Cocaine Era" back in the day.

And she STILL looked way better than the real Griselda by a long shot.

Watch cocaine cowboys 2 for the real story. Then watch griselda and get a good laugh at how manipulative Hollywood is

Griselda has a lot of facts and real elements but there are some basic parts of the story they tell that are changed by Hollywood in an outright lie to make Blanco more sympathetic

which is insane to think that netflix is airing a series in which Sofia Vergara makes Griselda Blanco more appealing by rising above misogyny by killing all of the misogynist, including straight up murdering all three of her husbands

there is a pretty conclusive list of 200 she is known to have killed or ordered killed, some say the number is far more than that

her first murder was in Colombia when she was 11, she killed a child that was kidnapped by her gang and the parents refused to pay. Shot the boy right in the head.

Ain't THAT the truth!

The real Gris looks like a snapping turtle.
