Melisandre does her best Gandalf impersonation.

Danikills Jon because she’s jealous he’s first in line for the throne. She inexplicably fulfills the Azor Hai prophecy and kills the NK, then goes on a murderhobo spree through the rest of Westeros. Cersei blows up King’s Landing with Wildfyre, Dani stands alone in front of the throbw

Cersei has always had a problem with being a little too bold while having too little foresight. This causes her to bring the Golden Company north prematurely, hoping that the fighting is almost done and thereby catching the loser in a sort of pincer with the opposing side then finish off the other weakened party.

Instead, she'll bring her trusted bodyguard a little too near the Night King (who will have barely escaped the attempt to trap him) and we will then have White Walker Mountain who will then turn on Cersei and Euron, killing them both quickly.

Leaderless but stuck in the North in a battle for their lives, the Golden Company will look to the Lannister nearest Cersei, that will be Jaime (who was captured after trying to sneak to Cersei's side to plead with her one last time to see reason). Jaime will turn them from being a 3rd party in a 3-way war to teaming with House Star-garyen.

During this there will be a scene that shows Daenerys that she and Jon could rule together, he King in the North and she Queen of the other kingdoms. They'll also find that something about being bonded with the two remaining dragons makes Dany fertile again.

Arya will be killed trying to impersonate a White Walker or one of the dead in order to sneak up the Night King and kill him. Gendry will cry.

Theon will die defending Winterfell, Sansa will dry both her own and Gendry's tears by grudge-fricking him.

Tormund will die saving Brienne. She will realize that he truly did care for her... then console herself by riding Jaime and then become his wife and they will have a shitload of Lannister kids that actually turn out honorable.

Tyrion will survive and continue as the Hand of the Queen.

Tyrion gets jealous, has had a backup plan to side with Cersei, and Jon Snow swings the fricking sword. Credits role.

There's a weird theory that Starks are supposed to go north when they die. Well that was broken when the Mad King killed Ned's dad and bro and so that's why the NK/WWs are pissed off.

Umm, Ned’s lie was the only thing that kept Jon alive for all those years. Robert ABSOLUTELY would have killed Aegon if he had found out. If anything, he turns out to be even more honorable than we had originally thought because he allowed people to believe that he had sired a bastard and brought it home to Winterfell, which his insufferable wife never let him live down, all to honor a promise he made to his dying sister. I honestly believe that when Ned had returned from King’s Landing and gone to see Jon at Castle Black, he would have told him the truth. Unfortunately for everyone in Westeros, Ned was executed and an insanely bloody civil war kicked off.

Arya uses the face of one of the main characters to get one on one with Cersei.

Hound and the Mountain somehow meet up again and have epic duel.

Sam kills the night king.

All long shots, but Mountain and Hound need to fight or I'll be upset, haha.

White walkers kill everyone at the Battle of Winterfell then march to Kings Landing and kill everyone there. Then, in a surprise twist, we learn the Night’s King is actually a very accomplished Economist. He, along with the Others, installs a market-based economic system and a Republican form of government in Westeros. The final scene is Westeros 200 years in the future looking like something out of Star Trek.

Real theory - Jon and Dany take the throne. It’s not what Martin would have done but now that the illiterates have taken hold of the material, the ending is going to bland and appeases the unwashed masses.

Some just refuse to accept that. But, it’s the truth along with Martin will never finish the books.

No matter what people want to argue you’re getting Martin’s ending.

My secret hope is that Bronze Yohn Royce is the one who takes out the NK. Or at least that he's the last character killed by the NK or one of the White Walkers.

If I'm remembering right, it was his son, Waymar Royce who was the first character killed in the show.

Dany dies.

Cersei dies.

The 7 kingdoms fracture and Jon is King in the North once again.

The Sellswords time warp from Mereen and show up to fight the Golden army or whatever after the Dothraki and Unsullied are wiped out at the battle of Winterfell.

The story is Jon Snow’s story.

He lives. I just don’t see him on the iron throne.

it's the most fitting end for her. she spends her whole life wanting to rule the 7 Kingdoms. in the end, she realizes that the best thing she can do is sacrifice herself to save them.

the broad strokes will be similar, but it's impossible for it to be totally identical. way too many characters at play in the books for things to be very close.

The prophecy Cersei was told when she was younger was she would die at the hand of a younger prince.

During child birth would fulfill it.

But so would Tyrion, Jamie, Theon, Gendry, and Jon as well.

Night King definitely dies.

All 3 dragons definitely die.

A Stark rules the North, so Sansa lives, either to Rule as Queen in da North or with Tyrion over all 7 kingdoms.

Jamie and Cersei both definitely die, but I don't expect Jamie to kill her.

I thought for a long time the whole thing would end with Dany on the throne - she's the only one who has had a character arc heavily invested in learning the pitfalls of being royalty, plus the tie in to the Norman Conquest is still quite strong.

Right now I strongly lean towards Jon and Dany ruling together. They aren't direct relatives, only extended, so it isn't too icky for a feelgood ending.

I think Bran will permanently warg into Ghost and disappear into the North after the plot is resolved.

I would trade literally any character for Davos to survive until the end and finish the story as a member of the new Small Council or ruling Dragonstone.
