Just watched the episode!
Couple of things:
Where was Randyll Tarly during the battle? If he survived, it is borderline silly that he, Jamie, and Bron all lived. Not in the spirit of early Game of Thrones where one of those muthas would have died. I guess three cheers for plot armor.
Loved the episode, but what the hell are they doing with Bran's character? Seems silly that this omniscient being would not mention anything about Littlefinger's numerous betrayals. My primary criticism of the season thus far is that many of the rich storylines are simply either grossly underdeveloped or brushed over.
Nevertheless, satisfying episode.

Hard to tell, but I think I saw tarly's armor on fire/melting

I think this is a great question - I'm thinking cowardice was at play, contrasting him with Sam.

Yeah, but he knows what went down, and also what's going to happen. Maybe why he gave the dagger to Arya and acknowledged her list? Him verbalizing anything other than the "chaos is a ladder" letting LF know he knows all would seem unnecessary...

So I just watched it again. Just as good the second time, easily one of the best episodes of the show. That said, I'm having a hard time reconciling that dragon fire can melt the towers at Harrenhall, but Bronn gets away so easily.....
Looks like Jamie will be a POW again, wonder if he'll switch sides? He was obviously scared shitless of the dragon, and at the beginning of the episode he was clearly still bothered by Olena's last words - maybe starting to see what his sister has caused?

If I had to do my Top 10 episodes at this point, it would be:
1) Blackwater (2x09)
2) The Winds of Winter (6x10)
3) Battle of the Bastards (6x09)
4) The Spoils of War (7x04)
5) Hardhome (5x08)
6) Baelor (1x09)
7) The Door (6x05)
8) The Mountain and the Viper (4x08)
9) The Rains of Castamere (3x09)
10) The Lion and the Rose (4x02)
A few thoughts:
1. My top 10 would probably be a little different, but I like this list.
2. While I know some people think the show has declined in quality (I'm not one of those people), I think most would still agree that the show still handles the big moments and episodes exceptionally well. This list bears that out.
3. It's extremely difficult for me to think of any other drama series that has a top 10 episodes list on par with that of GOT. I know some people will snicker at this, but if this show sticks the landing, I would consider it the greatest television series of all time.

Yeah, I think Bran has already seen Littlefinger's end, so he's just going to let it play out.

Two things I noticed about the battle:
1.) Dany and Drogon pop up out of thing air. Slow it down when you watch it. The just appear
2.) The arrow should have never hit Drogon. Even if he didn't see, though it was coming straight at him, Dany said dracarys. I past instances he unloaded immediately, but this time there was a delay

I noticed that, but I had assumed it just looked like that due to the low quality, and it wouldn't seem quite like that in HD.

So basically the Lannisters lost their entire army right?
What does Cersi have left? Just Euron's fleet?
