All meera really said was she wanted to go be with her family. I'm hoping her dad comes to winterfell to escort her home. But it may be too late to introduce a new character on the show.

I know it's late in the game but he's the only person alive that was at the tower of joy other than Jon. And he's an ally to the Starks. And his daughter is in winterfell. And Jon is now King of the North. Ravens should be flying. It seems pretty significant enough to include him.

Speaking of Qyburn and those in similar positions:
Seems like the Hands of Kings and Queens and Maesters of Lords have got to do damn near everything themself.
Tyion has to be a general as well as a political advisor. And a negotiator with Jon. Qyburn has to create a zombie Mountain, design a dragon killing scorpion and negotiate with the Gold Company.
Even way back, poor old Maester Luwin had to do pretty much everything for the Starks - medical, financial, management of bannerman.

Well yea, way back in the first episode Robert openly admits this when he asks Ned to "run my kingdom while I eat, drink, and whore myself to an early grave".

As Varys pointed out, Ned was the one who actually secured his early grave, not Cersei or Lancel.
Honestly, Cersei just got lucky as frick that she wasn't killed, and made her think she was a mastermind of manipulation. Ned's an easily predictable opponent, and she's just lucky that Robert was an idiot. Would be much more difficult to kill him any other way, especially with Barristan around.

Agree 100%, or at least hope so. Hope we see more NK tonight than what's seen in the preview...seems like we ain't seen his cold arse much this season. Also, can't get over how fulfilling it was to see the Dothraki unleashed

Pointless observation, but rewatching last week's episode, and Dickon's voice sounds exactly like Brad Pitt. Particularly, Brad Pitt in Troy.

Ned was only a bad hand because he was too honorable.
The smart thing to do was have Dany poisoned, reveal Cersei and Jaime's relationship, write in the letter that he legitimizes his eldest bastard, and boom.
Gendry on the throne with Ned as his hand.

Lets see:
1) He got played by Cersei and LF
2) His actions saw the death of his king
3) He escalated tensions between the Lannisters and Starks
4) He didn't take up Renly on his offer, which would have gotten the Lannisters out of power, especially once Robb takes Jaime hostage
5) Was far too loyal to Stannis' claim, who would have made an awful king that half of the realm would go in rebellion over
6) Just come on, why the hell would you have fallen for LF's dagger story. Tyrion betting against his own brother and then arming the assassin with a Valyrian Steel blade? Just ridiculous.
Ned was never meant to be Hand. Starks are not built for the South.
