In the books, does anyone find out Jon snow is a targarean? I genuinely curious if anyone in the north will turn on their vows to Jon when they find out he's not of Ned's descent?

I could be wrong. I can't remember what the original mission was for Yara/sand snakes
They were on their way down to Dorne to pick up the Dornish forces. Ellaria was telling Yara how she'd introduce her to some quality Dornish wine rather than the piss they were drinking on the boat as part of her seduction.

You haven't been told yet directly in the books, but it's hard to read the Tower of Joy sequence and not come to the conclusion of Jon's parentage.

Also, if Dany were to attack at night with her Dragons it is all but an arse whippin of monumental proportions. A night where the overcast is thick and the moon is covered provides more than enough cover against arrows being unleashed.
Exactly, she needs to do what the RAF did in WWII when they were doing night raids in Germany. Obviously, she isn't gonna obliterate whole cities like we did, but if she could find out where Euron's fleet is or Jaime's army is, she could deal lethal blows to Cersei. And the war in the South would effectively be over.

I'm still wondering who picked up Theon out of the ocean? Was that supposed to be Victarion?

Just one. Once it has a hole in it, it can no longer stably fly. It will go spiraling slowly to the ground, and once it hits it's screwed.
Well if that's the case, then why wouldn't they just shoot regular bow and arrows at the wings?

No, they were crazy smart. If you are #1 you are the main target. If you are #2 you can always change sides.
Perhaps. But didn't they let the Tarly Lord lead their military forces?
Which of course, having him and their forces fight for the Lannisters and not the Tyrells cannot be understated.

That was an Iron born captain loyal to Yara.

I have to say, after thinking it through, I think Olenna's death is my favorite in the series. It's about time a character goes out on a high note.

Shark, I would like to pose a question to you since you're big on the fan fiction, if Ned Stark isn't beheaded, how do you see this whole thing shaking out?

I believe this is exactly how it will play out too. Unless Jamie fights like the dornish did by making it a guerrilla warfare style fight in which troops are hiding and concealing in the wilderness fighting an unconventional fight, they will get destroyed at night fighting until the morning. And, the dorne never actually won anything but hid forcing ground troops into the wilderness.
It is so obvious it isn't funny.
Also these crossbows would need to be able to move in a 360 degree manner. This stationary BS is just retarded

Those night raids are what the Dothraki are perfect for. Cavalry works best at night when you can't prepare for them.

I'll do a checklist
1) Ned would tell Rob to stand down, and then his army would join with Joffrey's.
2) Sansa is traded for Jaime.
3) Ned would warn Rob or someone in Winterfell about LF, and then he's screwed in the Vale. Additionally upon hearing it, Tyrion would banish LF to the Wall.
4) Rob would marry Rosilyn Frey, therefore no Red Wedding.
5) Renly would still die to Stannis and Margeary would get married to Joffrey.
6) Stannis still loses on the Blackwater.
7) The Greyjoy Rebellion never occurs.
8) Ned becomes Lord Commander after Mormont.
9) Something terrible because Bran never becomes the Three Eyed Crow/Raven.
Other than that, I really don't know further what would occur. I'm not sure the Purple Wedding would have occurred without LF's involvement.

You aren't hitting that thing while it is in the air.
Dreamfyre was wounded with quarrels and crossbows while in the air. It led to her eventually crashing into a nearby dome that collapsed on her and killed her.
As said, they're not invincible. Hard to kill but not invincible. I'd be willing to bet we definitely see at least one die during Ceresi's charge.

Is the Donish army just going to sit this one out? They were never retrieved from what I remember, I assume Dany doesn't have another relationship down there beyond the Sand.
They clarified last night that their Dornish ships where all destroyed in that sea battle. There are no dornish armies left from my understanding
Were they not on the way to get them when they got attacked. I was under the impression the dornish army was still chilling in Dorne waiting to get picked up.

Ned wouldn't swear loyalty to Joffrey .

I noticed that no one is bitching about Mark Mylod having directed this episode
. Is he off the haters' list??

Seems to me like the whole this whole series of events would have never happened then. Until Dany got to Westeros.
