How much you wanna bet Gendry helped make that crossbow?..
Isn't Gendry a threat to Cersei being one of Robert's bastards? No way she has him working in the basement rather than killing him.

Elia was a Martell.... they are all dead. I'm sure people in Dorne liked her, but I don't know why they wouldn't listen to Cersei at this point.
As for Tarly, I have no clue what he decides. I do not think that this last episode resolves his decision one way or the other. It is possible he declines based on us seeing Jaime and Bronn seemingly commanding an army instead of him, I just don't think him accepting wouldnt be a shock.

I doubt Cersei still had people looking for him after the Battle of the Blackwater-ish period.
Still if I know two people want to kill me in the realm because of my dad (Mel and Cersei), I'm going somewhere that both of them are not rather than anywhere close to those two.

I feel like Tarly has to side with Cersei or none of these battles will be the least bit interesting

Yes the need to keep some sort of narrative tension is the reason I think you will see Randyll side with Cersei.
If Dorne and/or part of the Reach don't defect, Danny should just roll up everything south of the Neck with minimal problems. There clearly needs to be some sort of realistic chance for Cersei to win here or else a lot of what we saw from the trailers is gonna be really boring.

She is just going to burn it down. I don't want to see her be remotely successful because that goes against everything she has done so far.
Once they discover that there is no gold at the Rock it will all start collapse

The only question I have, is why didn't Tyrion know adout Euron's fleet and make plans to counter it? Varas with his little birds had to know Euron was building a thousand ship fleet. You just don't miss something like that.
Someone here theorized last night that he did know and did it to draw Euron's attention away from what they're doing in Westeros. I think it's a good theory and would bring Tyrion back to being the power player he was in the first few seasons.
I had some distractions during the episode but I thought this happened on the way to Dorne to get the troops. If so, he's only sacrificing iron born and sand snakes. He has no love for the Greyjoys (who want to divide the Seven Kingdoms anyway) and I can see him wanting Ellaria and the sand snakes dead for killing Marcella. With Ellaria and the snakes out of the way they could probably convince the Dornish to ally with them and come under Dany's command. I'm probably way off but I would actually like this.
I didn't find the episode to be awful but I usually want to watch it again and I haven't been interested so far. Some of the dialogue was so stupid. "Prepare for a foreign invasion!" "Give your uncle a kiss!"

Dany wants to follow Tyrion's advice and not burn everything down but she's probably going to end up following Oleana's advice in the end. UnSullied probably will take Castly Rock but will suffer heavy casualties (Greyworm possibly being one). Tarly joining the Lannisters will probably cause the other Tyrell bannermen to join him. Dorne could face a power gap with the Sand Snakes gone. All in all Dany won't be able to rely on the Dornish and Tyrell like she wanted too. So she will be forced to use her Dorthraki (as seen in the trailer) and dragons which might turn even more people against her.

For the first 2 episodes I felt like we'd seen so much of the footage that there weren't that many surprises. I think episode 3 will be similar and then, hopefully, the rest of the season will be epic. There must be a reason they've held back so much of that footage.

Does he always have to? We've seen him warg without touching a tree before. I'm not exactly sure how it works.
I was under the impression that he could warg into an animal at any time, but needed a weirwood tree to enter his Greensight "dimension"

I thought we were past the "Mad Queen" potential, but that combined with her statements about Jon present a possible case for that storyline coming into play.

If she starts to go mad, Varys will just have her killed off

If Danny actually gets deposed for being crazy and cruel I will laugh my arse off.
Posted on 7/24/17 at 3:45 pm to CorporateTiger
I'm not saying she's going to go crazy and destroy everything. As of right now she wants to win with as fewest casualties as possible on either side. I'm saying things will get bad enough for her that she'll have to resort to following Olena's advice of being a dragon not a sheep. We know she will use the Dorthraki and dragons at some point.

I still doubt that it actually happens (Mad Queen), I just think it would be hilarious

Dorne fought along side the Targaryens against Cersei's husband, even after the death of Rhaegar, Dorne refused to bend the knee to Robert's rule. Jon Aryan made the peace, after the death's of their Prince and Princess, but Dorne really wasn't part of the Realm. Even Tywin on show told the Red Viper that he hoped to bring Dorne back into the Kingdom. Refused their seat on the small council until the Red Viper. And I believe the Red Viper poisoned Tywin, Tyrion killed a dead man.
The Dornish would never back Cersei. Their people view the Baratheons, Lannisters, and Tyrells as their enemies.

I think you are really crossing over the close connections of the Martell family (who rule Dorne) with the attitude of the remaining nobles.
The Martell family married Targaryens, the Martell family had members at KL, and the Martell family hates the Lannisters. I'm not sure why the remaining families would carry on those beliefs.
Randyll Tarly at least showed up to KL to listen to Cersei's pitch, even though Cersei just blew up like 80% of the family he was sworn to for generations. Yet you honestly believe that no group of Dornish nobles would follow suit over the Martells even though it was Ellaria who actually just murdered the last Martell?

same reason "that the North remembers",
Dorne hated what happened to their princess and her children. Doran was overthrown because he wasn't agressive enough against the Crown. His people were protesting in the streets, they wanted vengeance against the Lannisters.

Would be cool to see if he could warg into multiple animals at a time, like a pack of wolves. How formidable would that be?
