I just don't see how they can leave it to next season. Everyone will know it's coming after Robb bites it (because of the leeches). They had great foreshadowing to it in this episode, with the show cutting to Joffrey drinking wine right after Stannis says his name.
If they wait until next season, it won't be nearly as powerful.

I agree, if not that pretty much puts Stannis' storylines as well as those in King's Landing on hold.
Which means the finale with be an hour of Dany, Bran, Sam, and Jon.

Speaking of the PW, has anyone noticed the camera angle two weeks in a row where it's zoomed in on a flagon of wine? They did this with Bronn and Tyrion in ep 7 and again last night with Joffrey at the wedding. This show is very subtle.

I think they need male babies to make new walkers or maybe a special type of walker. After the Mutiny at Craster's, one of the older wives feels the cold winds rising and tells Sam the sons are coming. Why would the others go to that much trouble just to make a wight?

Episode 10 title is "Mhysa" (Mother)
Freed slaves call Dany Mother, wolf Arya pulls Cat to shore, Joffrey dies pleading to his mom.
Jon Snow has time to leave but there isn't time for the battle where Ygritte dies, Samwell has time for coldhands but not to meet Bran, Bran/Osha's story is made up so who knows but I don't think they can do an episodes worth with it, Dany has time to take Yunkai ("Mhysa") but nothing else (plus her storyline is about to get boring as hell so I don't see why they would try to rush it), and Stannis/Davos/Gendry storyline is mostly on hold until Joffrey's dead (and I don't think they can have Davos saying "2 is not 3" and then push off the third death until next season).

When asked why they don't make more episodes per season:
Buying or selling? I wish they could do more than 10 per season.

I had started to think it wasn't going to happen until the leech scene. It seems this is going to be the focus of the next two episodes.
Setting up an escape for Sansa is not Mission Impossible. She hates everyone.
