That whole bathtub scene ranks as one the best scenes to have occurred so far in the TV show.

I fricking hate Cersei, but damn do I enjoy listening to what's in her head. She's absolutely crazy and thinks she's literally the smartest person alive when she's dumb as frick.
As Tywin said a few episodes ago to her:
"I don't distrust you because you're a woman. I distrust you because you're not as smart as you think you are."

I like the TV Cersei a lot more than book Cersei.

Yes. the casting of this show is top notch.
Even the "bad" actors are better than most other sitcom actors.
Like the Hodors were talking about Arya, and I agree cast perfectly and acted on very well.

Jaime is probably the best written chracter in the series. You read about potentially one of the most honor less characters in the realm to a guy who somewhat resembles Ned by the end of book four. The way he treated Pia, Tytos Blackwood, and the Tullys at Riverrun reminded me of Ned. Yes, he threatened Edmue but Edmure is a dumbass who needs prodding.

Hell, Blackfish tells Edmure off all the time because he's so dumb. Not surprising that Blackfish is the only Tully I like

Agreed. I do see Jaime and Ned as reflections of one another.

As I pointed out earlier, Cersei is the child Tywin had the lowest opinion of. He would confide in Tyrion and Jaime and saw that they had their uses, but he saw Cersei as utterly worthless aside from forging alliances with her cooch. She could only frick things up, which she does.

The funny thing is, Cersei is the only one who wants to be Tywin.

And the one who actually is despises this aspect about himself.

Who is that in the painting?

I realized during my re-read last night that the scene between Arya and Melisandre may have been a mash up of the old Crone that meets with Thoros and tells him things in exchange for wine. In the book she looks at Arya, and says,
"I see you, I see you wolf child. Blood child. I thought it was the lord who smelled of death....you are cruel to come to my hill, cruel. I gorged on grief at Summerhall, I need none of yours. Begone from here. Begone!"
I think Melisandre's words were more descriptive in what they meant, but do y'all think this is the general scene they were trying to recreate?
