Same here. Love the show.

Spot on. You go apeshit after that wedding episode and no way does it have the appropriate impact. Just a week later, most people weren't fully recovered from the shock of that belly shivving.

Actually, getting to the Eyrie by boat seems logical if you look at some maps. Just go north along the coast, passing Dragonstone and Claw Isle. The Vale has a bunch of inlets that look to bring you close to the Eyrie and avoid long mountain passes. Going there by land from King's Landing is a long trip and what looks like a long trek through mountains.
if you land in iron oaks your basically there.or you could sail south of the fingers and wind up just north of the eyrie. i'm the kinda guy with a GOT map on his iphone.

Looking at the map...the Dreadfort is on a river, the Weeping Water. I remember her saying something about that, so maybe she'll go up that?
leads you right to it. makes even more sense for the ironborn to sail and end up at the raiding location rather than to march thru westeros.

I don't see the Iron Oaks on the HBO map.
If I lived in Westeros, I think I might build me a panama canal that attaches Blue Fork River to IronMan's Bay OR that outlet of Blazewater Bay that runs east towards Moat Cailin and comes out at Three Sisters bay.

1. Cut a hole in the box
2. Put Theon's junk in the box
3. Make them open the box
And that's the way you do it...

I thought he was finally going to get put out of his misery, kinda excited to see Yara go rescue him

Care to share it with the class? Or is it just the HBO viewers guide map?

Am I the only one who feels like this was a lackluster season? I was so pumped to start this season after waiting almost a freaking year and the measely 10 episodes went at a snail's pace.
Almost all the episodes seemed to have one snippet of a storyline per episode that moved the story slower than a glacier.
I enjoy the foreshadowing, but the only time I was really shocked was when Jaimie lost his hand. I admit I was a little shocked Cat died like that, but I knew Robb was gonna get it soon enough based on the previous episodes. He deserved it for his poor choices. Cat I didn't really like and Robb's wife I was assuming to be a spy. So I wasn't really all worked up like I was over Ned.
We all predicted Dany's getting the unsullied, etc.
Tyrion/Sansa would've been a good one except I'd already had that spoiled from the board a while back.
I only feel bad for Arya, except now she has no reason not to go to Bravos. Her revenge will be a true joy to watch. If she isn't offed of course.
Personally, this show built up my expectations too high and I think it is really poor form to only have a 10 episode season per year. At this point, I am worried this may turn into a Carnivale or other HBO show that just suddenly ends/poor resolution/devolves--likely due to budget issues.
I also think that I'd prefer for other writers to finish the story off rather than GRRM so as to not be beholden to his slow production of books. I mean, hell, half the people on these threads would be able to wrap up a pretty bad arse ending to the story up to this point.

He could have punched me all day. I still wouldn't have agreed to the new nickname. Hopefully, he'd beat me to death, but sadly, it would probably move on to toenail extraction and water torture.

I've only seen the episode once, so I'll have to watch again and pay attention to what Bolton is saying to Frey about his son. I don't remember him telling anyone that Bran and Rickon are alive, so he's keeping that in his pocket for some reason. Maybe Ramsay hasn't told him, but the "aim for their heads" line seems to suggest otherwise. Either way, Ramsay is going to have a tough time "hunting" them, as he said, if he's surrounded by Yara's men.

I loved it! Very well done. Remember this show will be on for 4-5 more years so shows like this need multiple episodes to build characters and whats to come, even if they happen to fall back to back.
Settle down and enjoy or go watch The Bachelorette, I think a new season just started .

this is all I can think about when I think about the end of this episode:
The blonde chick crowd surfing through a bunch of Jar Jar Binks impersonators at a star wars convention with a tatooine theme.

No way that would happen.

And you'd still complain about it. Let him do his job.

No, I wouldn't still complain about it. I have several friends who I got into this show and it's my favorite show on tv.
I find it hard to believe that everyone I talk to about the show felt like this season was slowly crawling along, meanwhile all the fanboys on this thread are crowning this season as amazing. Bottom line, it was the worst of the three seasons.
Perhaps down the line when the series is completed the season may hold up better than it does presently.
As for character development, the show is excellent. It's just starting to feel a bit more like a soap opera. Maybe that's what you guys like. I'm sure you can go watch Days of Our lives while I watch the bachelorette.

I agree that it was the worst season, but that's not so much a slant to season three but a testament to how good seasons one and two are.

Hopefully then, this season will serve as a setup for season 4 to blow the doors off. So much I think has been set up to happen. Big stuff, too.
