It seems we might have to look for heroes in unlikely places so why not the cripple or fat Sam.

I think it's just supposed to be a double entendre. You wouldn't wipe out a house and then write a song that makes their name live on. To me, it's a sick joke, meant to remind people who mess with the Lannisters of what happened to the Raynes (sp?) without actually remembering them.

Yup, because the Starks are nothing more than fairly tales - honoring the old, believing in loyalty, etc. all the while Tywin writes out their deaths on pieces of paper from hundreds of miles away

Stereotypical "fantasy tale heroes" in GOT get killed - Robb was the stereotype, as was Ned.

It's going to take more than a cookie-cutter character to unset Tywin's reign of terror, IMO.

A Lannister always pays his debts

Jaime's debt to Brienne was to return the Stark girls to their mother

Their mother gets killed, in part by Lannisters

Debt is now impossible to repay.

Lannister paradox

I see Rickon as the next Stark kid that GRRM feeds to the sharks. He finally had his sweet little moment in the sun, now it's time to die.

I think the Lannisters combust from the inside out, personally.

Tywinn is putting himself on an island and pissing off some pretty dangerous people in the process.

Tywin is also old - his biggest enemy may be time itself.

Yeah I kind of agree with time, Tywin has always been on an island.

GGRM is essentially Tywin - killing Starks with pen and paper. Flashing author power

I thought of this yesterday after rewatching, maybe he will send them to their mother in the afterlife.

I'm not sure if Bran is close enough to the wall to get there by Sunday, but I like the idea of Bran meeting Sam and Bran and Sam join forces. PLUS Bran was talking about going to find that crow/raven and Sam definitely had a flock following him two weeks ago.

Possibly. Sansa, Arya and Bran seem to have a lot of plot development still to go. Rickon is just kinda...there.

Agreed. I hope we see some small crack in ep 10 cause I'm tired of Tywin winning with ease

Absolutely. Had he done what he said, Robb would have had an army. Now he dead.

Still miss Ned but those 3 bugged me and found their characters boring.

Didn't blink during the red wedding.
