Yes, it's back!!!

The Movie/TV Board's very own safe space.

Rules are essentially in the title, episodes can be discussed here but there is to be absolutely no discussion of the leaked episodes or future spoilers, those things do not exist here. No vague statements about the leaks either, do not mention them. If you are known to be posting in the 3-eyed raven thread and you post a "theory" here, it will be assumed you are posting spoilers in disguise and you will face Lord Chicken's judgment.

As in past versions of the MGT, discussion of book info is allowed and Hodors are free to ask Maesters for background info on people and events which have already occurred on the regularly aired show.

Now I know this practically begging for some troll to come along and mess with people, but just know that while I am normally very easygoing on here, I take MGT enforcement seriously and will not hesitate to RA anyone acting a fool.

Now that the nasty rules bit is out of the way, WHO IS READY FOR SOME WIGHT HUNTING!!!

I follow the Many Faced God and will give the name of any asshats to No One.

eta: Okay, now that I have fulfilled miladies request, I must go to bed as this Maester has a patient to treat in the morning. I just hope it's not dragonscale again.

Me! Thanks for starting this thread, I was worried I would have to go hang out in the Siesta Key thread till Sunday!!

So my thoughts for this episode: i thought it was a dumb idea on sunday when they decided to go to eastwatch. I think it's still a dumb idea today. I'm good with everybody but Jon and Gendry dying. Not sure how they expect to get a wight to kings landing. Maybe it only survives in cold and once they move it down south it will become lethargic and not be fighting people the whole time.

Dany, i am hoping she gets antsy and goes to check on her boyfriend.

Sansa/arya-lets hope this is the episode that LF gets the dagger to the throat. I just dont see his story going any further.

Cersei-i dont think she is lying about being pregnant but i wont be surprised if she loses the baby and lies to jamie about it. It would make it that much harder for him to leave her and i think she may be getting worried she will lose him.

Sam/gilly-hopefully the teleport machine from oldtown is working as good as the teleporter from dragonstone. We need him to get to winterfell next episode with his books. Maybe gilly will repeat some of her new facts to everybody at the dinner table. "Hey yall did yall know rhagger annuled his marriage and married a stark girl?" **forks dropping at the dinner table**.

Jesus man, there are literally 14 other GOT threads on the first page, was this really necessary?

Yeah it was, if you read the other 14 you would know why.

GoT is serious business on here!

This thread, the 3ER thread and one Hodor thread are all that are really needed, but to make a short answer long yes this is one of the GoT threads that is needed.

This story line is getting old. I think we all know they're just playing up the Sansa vs Arya angle to create a little drama. Just get it over with, kill Littlefinger and move on.

Maybe they'll cut off its arms and legs and drag it back?

Ok, is there some hidden scheme or plot behind suggesting a truce to Dany? Was the last battle too much for Tyrion, emotionally?

I mean, she finally engaged without holding one arm behind her back, and she mopped the floor with the main army at Cersei's command. Cersei's "wins" have been just delaying Dany's assault. King's Landing was prime for an attack, the morale was bad, and Jaime (the main commander) was already mentally ready to admit defeat.
This truce does nothing but buy time for Cersei to regroup.

Plus, how do you manage a joint effort against the WW, as of now? Do you expect the two forces to unite against them? If so, who gives the commands (who's in charge)? Do they share intel?

I mean, it sounds nice and all, but I can't see any rational hope of cooperation, when you have such diametrically opposed sides involved. Cersei holds the 7 Kingdoms, Dany came to take them. If Dany doesn't want to take them now that there's a threat to the North, why not return to Meereen with her people, and leave Cersei to deal with it? If Cersei accepts that there is a grave threat to the North that she can't hope to defeat without Dany's help, Dany can stand back and force her to concede the Kingdoms (or be assassinated by those who want help)?

and to clarify, I did glance at the spoiler thread, but this isn't anywhere in there that I saw. And regardless of WHAT happens, I'm trying to get WHY this is even on the table right now.

Nice sentiment, but the same jerkoffs posting spoilers in other threads can just as easily do it in this one.

Has it gotten that bad in the other threads? I haven't been in the maester thread since yesterday, and I hardly ever read the Hodor thread.

Before that, I was just skipping over any post that began with "here's what I think will happen" or anything close to that.

Well, here's what I think will happen this episode:

Jon Snow will eat the Hound's last piece of chicken but blame it on Beric
We get a rematch of the duel that took place a few seasons ago with the Hound winning once again. But Thoros cannot revive Beric since he hasn't had any alcohol in days.
Jon will pull the jetpack out and fly to winterfell to get some ale for Thoros so he can try to revive him, but all shite breaks out in Winterfell as Nymeria shows up.
Luckily, Nymeria and Ghost hit it off Lannister-style and the threat is mollified.

I just caved in and watched the leaked episode 6... and I honestly don't think there's anything too blatant in the Maester thread. Let's face it, there are lots of predictions out there, but let's be frank: we "know" what is going to happen in this show, just not quite how it will go down.

I think presentation is the only big thing left. You know you're getting a steak, the only question is how it's seasoned.
