I want to punch your avatar in the face so bad. It's not enough that I hate it, I have to see it in almost every thread since we visit the same boards.... Also for some reason your avatar is the only one that shows up on a normal basis at work that usually blocks all the pictures...Anyway

:endrant:

Good poster, wanna punch face avatar

It's interesting that the only family with "honor" (Starks) have one of their own (kind of) volunteer for The Night's Watch.

Lord of Bear Island,Jeor Mormont, took the Black, & as Lord Commander of the Nights Watch(#997),
to his son he left Bear Island & Ironclaw

Jorah left Ironclaw when he fled Ned's punishment.
Jon left Ironclaw when he went to meet Mance.

Coco's posting in the Middle Ground thread?

It is safer than the Hodor thread.

To say too much would be heading into real spoiler territory.

I think you're right.

I'm 3/4 through book 1. At first I was really bored with it but now I'm really enjoying reading what characters were thinking and feeling during certain scenes. It really is gonna enhance watching.

If you were really bored with book 1 there is no way your attention span will make it through 4 and 5.

I mean, I've seen season one three times so reading the book it's based on is pretty repetitive as far as the major plot is concerned.

I haven't seen the other seasons but once.

I was thinking it would be either about sansa, arya, bran and jon OR some reference to the forest children, but I thought they were all dead.

"Bran, the children of the forest have been dead and gone for thousands of years. All that is left of them are the faces in the trees.”
– Maester Luwin to Bran Stark

"The children of the forest are all dead. The First Men killed half of them with bronze blades, and the Andals finished the job with iron.”
- Lord Commander Jeor Mormont to Samwell Tarly
