Tyrion really brought out the best I've ever seen in Danny. Their scene together was fantastic.

Oh, no doubt. Why in the hell couldn't the fat man have done this in ADWD?
Tyrion advising Dany will be a force to be reckoned with. Their scenes together were great.

Dany is a lot more ignorant in the books at this point than she is in the show, and I can't wait until Tyrion calls her out in a much more venomous manner on how awful her father was.

Yeah, there wasn't a non-great scene.

I think I posted in real time in the other thread that it was an amazing episode and that was about 10 minutes before they showed anything from Hardhome

As much as I hate to admit it, killing off Bannister really helped setup Dany accepting Tyrion. Tyrion was quick to point out to Dany that she didn't have anyone to advise her, much less advise her on Westeros. I know a lot of book readers won't like that statement, but I think it definitely helped "greese the wheels" for the two of them to align.
ETA: I'm debating if I even want to post that in the readers thread.

I want to check out that game of thrones message board I looked at earlier
They are probably still acting like it's the worst episode of TV ever made

You've got a losing battle on this one
that was great for every level of knowledge

so let's talk about the White Walkers and the zombies for a minute.
White Walkers are their own humanoid type race, correct? If the turn you while you are alive, do you become a White Walker? If they turn you when you are dead, you obviously become a zombie. But then we have zombies in various stages of death, like that kid didn't have any eyeballs. maybe he had been dead longer than most people and his blue eyeballs fell out?

Kind of. Evidently they are a race that is born by that Great Other/Nights King Walker touch a human baby. So they are still "turned" humans, they just aren't mindless zombies.

Yeah. It's just the difference in that they resurrected fleshless corpses that had been dead for a long time, and people that just dies.

Man I just finished. That might of been my favorite episode since Blackwater.
