Someone on Westersos has it as their sig. I thought I would bring it here after Hodors (non book readers) vs Varys/Littlefingers (book readers) shitstorms.

Don't post this stuff. There are readers that haven't gotten that far in this thread.
Season 3 is a split of the 3rd book and that's within the scope of what's been shown FWIW.

This. they are obviously not going to plot to remove Jeor any more.

yeah like i havent gotten to Book 3 so if someone talks about what happens at the end of book 3/ ending of this season i will be crushed but saying something that was already brought up in the show and saying well in the book they set it up better by saying they were plotting against him earlier just didnt show it on tv. Thats fine. fine with me at least
didnt spoil anything just kinda clarified

That's essentially the whole point of this thread. To have a combo book/show discussion of what has been shown up to this point. TigerintheNO wasn't in the wrong because it was within scope (for obvious reasons).
ETA: FWIW, you'll not see any of the readers around here minus a rogue TN Bhoy type deal obviously discuss in this thread anything that happens later in the 3rd book. Everyone knows it's not within what we've seen to this point given the gravity of the events.

completely agree. like i said if its already been covered in the show then i dont mind talking about the book part or stuff the book had that lead to it.
as long as someone doesnt say oh yeah cant wait, ____ dying is gonna be awesome and its gonna happen in the next 2 episodes or so. thats when i will get upset

So is the non-readers thread now called "idluvCoCoSTu only"?

If anybody is going to do that it isn't going to show up in this thread. It'll be someone going for the jugular in the non-reader thread who doesn't GAF about a ban IMO.

Haha, the illiterates will have no choice but to read the books when they realize they will be all alone in the non reader thread

Damnit. I'm pretty prominently posting in the non reader threads. I think I deserve some recognition.

Yeah, it really isn't a big deal. I just was trying to keep from having too many specifics so that readers who are yet to get to the 3rd book have something to look forward to.

careful, you might be getting banned for pointing out that Sam and Jon's friend appears to survive the fight at Craster's
if they didnt notice it, its a spoiler

Or they can stay there and wonder who those angry people dressed all in black are and why is everybody mad at the king with the baby face.

You need to come over here to the dark side. I don't think they secretly want you in there anyway, fricking up their hardlegging.

Nah. I like it over there. I set the ground rules, so I want to defend them. Also, it's much better not knowing a damn thing when the booms happen.
That's all probably going to change in the near future. I have a few vacations coming up this summer, and I plan on putting my toes in the sand with GoT on the kindle.

I was a non-reader and really enjoyed the first 2 seasons of TV, but once I started reading, I could not put the books down. Probably read the whole series in a month.

I read the books after watching the first season. Having faces to put with names while I read really helped it "pop" (except for certain descriptions that didn't work out right, like how Sansa obsessed on Joffrey's lips in her private thoughts when she still thought he was the shite).

Season 4 we'll meet you here, because you will no longer be welcome there.
