The Night's Watch right now consists of rapists, murderers, thieves, and the occasional halfway decent dude. I'm not sure they were all that stable to begin with.

Complaining wasn't the right term. You were just commenting that there was a different discussion in here with some things maybe being a little beyond you.

Yeah i know but it seems like they were in control then like decided frick it its go time. Like a WWE talk in the ring when finally the guy just drops the mic and gives a crushing blow then 20 guys run out of the tunnel immediately and all hell breaks loose

At that point though they're all starving, with Craster chowing down on wine and a chicken leg, and they see Mormont not doing much about it.
That'd have normal, stable guys on edge much less the typically unhinged.

I just peeked into all three threads and every discussion is about spoilers and such.

They did mention they were starving in every Night's Watch scene for two episodes. Starving people will kill for food. It is known.

Im not saying it was written badly or anything and i know what you are saying I agree it was just kinda funny how it happened.
First thing i thought of was Ron Burgendy, " that escalated quickly"

And these are not normal, stable guys. Murders, thieves, and rapers.
EDT: I will stop reposting what Belle posts.

They did. Commander Mormont mentions it early on when he gives Jon the sword that was meant for his son Jorah.
this is why I said screw it and started reading spoilers. there are too many names and its hard to remember something someone said to someone else 2 seasons ago. I'd rather know whats going on instead of asking, "who the frick is this guy again" every episode

That's unfortunate. There's a few places out there like Tower of the Hand where you can set things to scope and not get spoiled but have those things answered.

The guy is a good actor as well. He was awesome in the British show Torchwood, kinda odd that they would bring him in for such a small role.

That's a good point, one of the disconnects between the show & book. In the show it was out of nowhere, but the 3rd book starts off with those guys debating a plot to elminate Mormont after the slaughter by the whitewalkers. Nothing comes of it until what you saw last night. It was still a surprised when it happens by not totally out of left field.

See that makes sense.
I haven't gotten to book 3 yet. The show made it seem like everyone likes the guy then he got stabbed pretty quickly

IMO that was okay. That didnt ruin anything for me only being on the second book. I figured entering this thread that I would catch a thing or two from what has happened so far that I havent read. Comes with the coming to this thread IMO.
wasnt like he gave away really anything especially since he said that now.. like if it was last week or so I kinda would have been alittle pissed about hearing it.
