and fwiw, especially in light of jamie's soliloquy on oaths sunday, and especially in light of him killing the former king while serving as a member of the kingsguard, is it really that unthinkable that tywinn will say "frick tradition and oathes" and name jamie his heir? i mean jamie's nephew (officially) is king and tywinn runs shite (esp if he wins this war) so they're covered.
I don't really see how that would work with Jamie being in the Kingsguard and all.

But they always pay their debts.

I agree. I haven't read all the books yet, so there are spoilers out there for me. I stay out of the spoiler threads for that reason.
I try to ignore questions about stuff that I know. I'll continue that now.

Most peoples views on vows and the realm are warped because we followed around Ned Stark for a TV season & book. A lot of families DGAF.

yeah the family who control the bridge (forget their name) and jamie pretty much had speeches talking shite about vows and how they conflict and don't mean anything

The Freys (had to think about it for a bit), and they are all pretty worthless turds. If they didn't have that big-assed bridge they would be mining pig shite for a living.

well those turds are all about to be close relatives of the King in the North!
Unless Robb wants to piss them off by marrying that highborn nurse.

That's a pretty unrealistic theory, I'd say.

Why not? If Barristan Selmy can get booted from the Kingsguard even though he should have been one for life, why can't Jaime get booted or resign in favor of inheriting Casterly Rock?

Lol, I'm serious Why would he purposely piss them off? The Talissa character isnt in the books, he may eventually fall for her but I wouldn't think he would purposefully do it to upset the Freys. One he has too much honor to break his oath and secondly the Freys would pose a mOnster threat to his army if they turned. It's unrealistic that he'd take that risk even if they are a bunch of turd lickers. Finally we have no idea who this girl really is, even me since she isn't in the books.

While on deviations from the book, do y'all think the wildlings were following Jon and Ygritte for a while or were waiting for him in that one area? I think they were following him for a bit to see what kind of person he was.
