I'll admit I'm still leary of some changes and how it'll effect things down the road.

im actually liking most of the changes. having littlefinger in Renly's camp actually makes the future events alot easier to understand. i was very confused in the book after the battle of the blackwater and seeing littlefinger already planting the seed in margaery tyrell brings alot of light to that outcome.

also the littlefinger and cat scene was very well done. bringing ned's bones was a nice touch.

the series will be dead to me however if next season I dont get arya stabbing the tickler screaming the quote.

I was hoping they'd put a little more emphasis on those quotes from the tickler, and/or more of it affecting Arya at that time.

Which I dig. Don't get me wrong. I just hope things don't get all muttled. Especially the way things are interwoven in these books.

Me too. On the one hand the episode was awesome so I ain't complaining.

But it does give me a little trepidation if they're going to make the Mummers part of the Lannister camp exclusively. One of the things about the books is that no side has totally clean hands and people from both sides commit atrocities. So far, the northerners seem to be getting a bit more of a "good guy" treatment.

Though of course we know it won't last with Roose and the Freys turning. I wonder how much of tha will find it's way into this season?

As of now I don't feel the Freys have had nearly enough mention to set up the Red Wedding.

Bolton hasn't had but this one moment here to really set up his character either. And these two parties/characters have pretty large roles to play down the road. We don't want them just coming out of the blue so to say.

They still have an entire season and a half to set it up, not like it's a huge rush. Beyond that, they are moving up Robb's affair/marriage a bit, so we'll have time to see Cat go off on him and explain how much he's screwed up and betrayed the Freys.

Did Jeoffry have that other hooker kill the other one or just beat the crap out of her?

i don't remember the Joffrey whore scene either but it did a good job of showing how fricked up he is. I was waiting for that stag post to be used as a fricked up dildo.

Looks like from the previews of next wk that Jaqen is part if the lannister guard instead of the bloody mummers, which is a bit disappointing

I think Jaqen was with Armory Lorch's crew, so he basically was a part of the Lannister crew. In the book, the Mummer's ride out to raid while Lorch's army stays to protect the castle. That is why he is in the castle for the 3 killings (well at least the killings that occur after Tywin leaves.

Yea then it's the new jeyne but don't think she's a westerling in the show; not sure why they changed it

I assumed they are changing her name because of the Asha/Osha, Jeyne Westerling/Jeyne Poole thing, but Jeyne Poole should've been introduced as Sansa'a friend and confidante and it doesn't look like that's happening because she apparently has ZERO friends in Kings Landing. I looked "Talisa" up on IMDB and it shows her as Jeyne Westerling. She must just be lying to Robb

I just started AFOC this week, so maybe this question is answered in later books, but why is Daenerys last name "Stormborn" and not Targaryen?

She's not a bastard.
