Stormborn is just a title, not sure when in the books its explained how she got it

They talk about it in the first book a little - that she was born during the raging storm when all the Targaryans were being killed.

Maybe it's just the constant surprises in these books, but I feel like there will be more to it than that.

Like she eventually finds out that she is actually the bastard daughter of Rhaegar Targaryen.

Given her actual ability to raise the Dragons and her "immunity" to fire/heat, I would think her blood would be of the purest Targaryen line.

But aren't the Martell's descendants of the Targaryen line?

I will say based on what I have read, I see no way for this thing to ever wrap up. Even if someone was too rule the main land you would still have all of this conflict going on across the narrow sea. It will just go on for ever. I think the publisher should make the author write a 20 page ending. So when he dies at least sometime the series can come to an end.

I would imagine they'll show Cat going to Walder Frey to inform him of Robb's marriage and arranging the marriage of her brother.

from the previews before the season began, they showed clips of Cat admonishing/warning Robb about his responsibilities. They'll likely reinforce his marriage pact before the season's over.

They left Ser Dontos' attempted rescue out of Sansa's torture in front of the court. They have to bring up his letter promising escape to her sometime soon as they've passed it already in the book's timeline.

Granted, I'm only three chapters into AFOC, but this is the way I see this thing shaping up.

Targaryens want the throne back. The Dornish hate everyone, especially the Tyrells (and based on the chapter I just finished, shite is about to go down in Dorn.) Plus, the Martells are decedents of the Targaryen line. So Team Targaryen/Martell will form.

The Tyrells are aligned with Lannisters. So that's your second team.

Stannis Baratheon just saved the Nightwatch's arse and is aligning with Jon Snow. It only seems natural that the Baratheons and the Starks would align.

So you have a three-way war. You would have Tyrion Lannister and the Vale as the wildcards.

I'm sure this theory will be blown to shite by the middle of AFOC.

In all honesty, Dontos' roll in that whole ordeal is not necessary.

it allows Littlefinger to set up the assassination/escape behind the scenes and keeps the audience in the dark as to whether or not Sansa should trust the plan. She needs some hope in her storyline at this point in the show, maybe it'll come in the next episode.

Then again, show-Littlefinger just blurts out all his motivations and plans to anyone who'll listen so maybe not.

I guess my point was that you could almost have Littlefinger do some of the Dontos' role and it wouldn't affect the overall story.

Although, they made a point of showing Sansa saving Dontos in the first episode of the season.

I just hope they'll for once keep LF and his plotting in the background instead of front and center spilling his guts

I kind of understand why do they do it, however. It's nearly impossible to keep up with his scheming in the books. I would imagine its absolutely impossible to do so as a viewer who never read the books.

Unless Rhaegar boned his mom, that is impossible.

I think the show struggles w/ subtlety as we've seen w/ Renley/Loras, Dany's dragon eggs, etc. They've changed LF from a master puppeteer in the background to someone that goes around idiotically threatening Cersi that he knows of her incest.

Along the same vain, I wonder if they're setting up Cat to release Jaime (via LF's meeting) before the last straw that truly causes it (Bran and Rickon's 'deaths'). With their deaths, you could kind of excuse her actions and betrayal of Robb due to extreme emotional distress.

I read somewhere that they felt the actor behind Jamie was really good and wanted to get him a lot on screen in season two.
