Arthur Christmas is one of my favorites now. Very funny and the story isn't similar to a lot of other Christmas movies.

If you have kids "That Christmas" on Netflix isn't bad at all.

Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds and Amy Smart. From 2005 and really funny. Set during Christmas.

I second Arthur Christmas. Watched it for the first time last night with the kids and laughed my arse off.

probably one of the best movies

Agree. I found it by accident a couple of years ago. I loved the hand-drawn animation and the unique take on the origin of Santa Claus.

Gotta be careful with 8 bit Christmas and A Christmas Story Christmas. Gonna make you want to call your entire family and ball your eyes out in Christmas joy and merriment

One I haven’t seen mentioned is “Surviving Christmas”

Ben Affleck, Christina Applegate, Catherine O’Hara, James Gandolfini…

Rich Ben Affleck tries to pay a family to let him spend Christmas with them. Hilarity ensues

introduced to this one a couple of weeks ago, really enjoyed it:

2023 Hallmark film wherein a cynical screenwriter is tasked to script a remake of a holiday classic movie, and while visiting the famous house where the original was filmed and is accidentally transported to the 1947 movie set

yeah, it sounds cheesy and it is, but in a good way - plus my daughter thinks the male lead, Kristoffer Polaha, is a hunk (he also does a convincing job portraying a 1940s-era Hollywood heartthrob)

My millennial kids and I like Holidate. It's pretty funny, but not a kid's movie.

Wasn’t expecting much when we turned it on, but the wife and I enjoyed. Really funny in parts. Watched it two Christmas seasons in a row now.

Also, the Feast of the Seven fishes is another decent one. Really does a good job capturing Italian Christmas tradition.

As mentioned before 8-Bit Christmas is great .

Santa's Slay, and I found it absolutely ridiculous.

Oh man, this movie is packed with some great dialogue.
Claire from Lost: “You hit like a girl.”
Protagonist: “Yeah? Well you kiss like a guy!”

Love Hard is pretty funny too,

Love Hard is definitely worth a watch. The "Cold Outside" song always cracks me up.
