Movie was fantastic.
Where did you watch it?
I thought it wasn't being released until October.

Put spoiler in and let those of us that want to know whether the dog dies or now.
I will not rewatch John Wick 1 because it makes me want to kill people, and I am fresh out of people to legally kill. Yes, I would be sobbing as I killed them.

I just don’t think I can watch this. I love horror but also can’t watch dogs in distress. I’ll just read the summary.

** SPOILERS BELOW **
The dog does not die. I don't know what all awards they have for animals, but this dog deserves them. His expressions are simply astonishing. It does a very good job with the suspense/dread in scenes and the jumps are a good payoff.
It is definitely a tough watch seeing this dog trying to do everything to figure out the situation and when we left the theater, just wanted to find the nearest dog we could and give them a big hug. Very unique movie and camera work & sound work was very good (and we were watching it in a theatrical theater, so a real movie theater will probably be even better).

SPOILER
Thanks. It is on my list now. My wife thinks I’m screwed up because I can watch 100s of people get slaughtered in a movie and not blink but a dog dies and I’m sad for days.

**SPOILER**
Yep, know the feeling. It was hard watching the dog's owner, who is slowly deteriorating with the possession, that acts like a dick to the dog. Not like beating him or anything, but being enough of a dick we were just like frick this dude, you don't deserve him
. Even though we know he isn't meaning to, it's the entity.

The dog looks like a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. I always wanted one of them but I don't know how it would make it here in SELA.

I get irrationally angry when they do stuff to dogs or cats in movies. Because the director has to know how much that bothers people and they still do it. It's like a big frick you to the audience. Went and saw the new Dave Franco horror movie Together and they frick with 2 dogs right at the beginning.

Seems like they are pumping out horrors these days.
One of the few genres that can be made on the cheap and still get people to go watch.

I just got out and thought the same thing. Best dog performance since Anatomy of a Fall.

It was impressive how scary he was able to make it on what I imagine was a very low budget.

SPOILER:
The "ghost" was obviously a metaphor for the cancer that was slowly taking over Todd's body, although there must've been a supernatural presence as well, since it attacked Indy in the doghouse. Although they never explained it, I assumed that the grandfather's dog had died waiting for his owner to come back after he was taken by the ghost. The ending was sad when Todd told Indy that he was a good boy, but that he couldn't save him.

Yeah many horror movies are made for less than $5m. If they make 25-30 mil they made 5x their budget. Hell some are made for less than $1m. It's a cheap movie form usually.
Blumhouse and A24 print money without taking much losses.

I was very stressed out and I did cry.
Normal horror usually does neither for me.
Poor bandit

I mean yes, I got the metaphor
. From the dog/viewer’s perspective though, it is the ghost that is causing everything.

Great movie, the dog was fantastic and it combined my 3 biggest dreads: distressed pups, terminal illness, a haunted house.
The post credit scene was the best part.

Just got back from this movie.
Enjoyed it. I looked how they showed how it was filmed at the end.
Made me go home and hug my dogs.

Yeah i was hoping that Indy would come Bandit in the woods. When he found Bandits remains that was sad.
