It's stuck in my head daily. I've learned to live with it.

I don't know if I'd call it the GOAT, but Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah is definitely one I can't ever get out of my head when I hear it.

Wish Upon a Star
Non-debatable (IMO): When You Wish Upon a Star is the GOAT Disney song. Plenty of other good ones, but none greater. I tend to prefer the vintage Disney songs like Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, It's Off to Work We Go (Snow White), and This is the Night (Lady and the Tramp), and Yo-ho-ho, A Pirate's Life for Me (Peter Pan), and Someday My Prince Will Come (Snow White, not ghey), but I do really like some of the somewhat more recent sound tracks, like from Mermaid, Beauty & Beast, Aladdin - a lot of really great newer songs in those.

It is actually kind of racist. The song is based off the chorus of a pre-Civil War song called "Zip Coon" according to wiki.

Here's the link just in case anyone thinks I'm making that up: LINK

How bout Not In Nottingham

This is definitely my favorite. There are tons of great songs in the thread (Hakuna Matata, I'll Make a Man out of You, When You Wish Upon a Star, etc)

But Roger Miller was a major musical talent and he really nailed Not in Nottingham.

"Beauty and the Beast" is probably the most iconic song of the Disney Renaissance.

Best Openers are "Circle of Life," and "Belles of Notre Dame" as 1a and 1b. Both are magnificent.

Definitely. Good call.

Might be thinking of Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Love that movie as a kid.

Well your screen name doesn't help.

But yeah, my pops has The Jungle Book soundtrack on LP (yes even still today in good condition) other than the fact that I played it out. I'd listen to the whole thing every weekend while playing as a kid. I did an over the air recording of it, so terrible quality. I played Bare Necessities over and over and over again. It was the album that made me learn how to work an LP player at like age 5. Well that Superman and Star Wars.

I totally had Star Wars on cassette tape and used to listen to it before we got a VCR.

My favorite from Jungle book has always been Walk Like You (?), but I've always been kind of a contrarian.
