Alberta: What is a Ratatouille?

Sass: It’s a movie about a rat who controls a chef.

Pete: It’s about a restaurant. Like that show The Bear. Only it’s a comedy.

Savage.

What is savage about it?

I don't even get how the quote would be an insult

They’re insinuating there is a character in The Bear whose a piece of shite (the rat) who takes advantage of someone

I guess I didn’t realize it wasn’t supposed to be a drama.

Naw, they're making fun of The Bear for how they enter themselves in awards competitions.

They enter into Comedy categories when the show is clearly a drama. They do it to avoid competing against shows like Shogun that always clear everything.

This.

Most of their audience wouldn't get the reference. But if you follow award shows it's a pleasant chuckle.

I didnt realize that the show itself gets to decide what category it belongs in. I always thought it was stupid that Hulu had it listed as a comedy.

Nope. They are making fun of the Bear for pretending to be a comedy and Jeremy Allen White for having a rat-like face.
