Wow!

I'm not a big believer in the Ice Dragons. Really seems as if it would come right the hell out of nowhere.
I feel sure the Ice Spiders exist though.

They would be coming out of nowhere on the show, but there is some foreshadowing in the books.

Foreshadowing in the books is a pretty subjective venture...but I'm curious what you are referencing.
We shredded those books word by word years ago, and I don't remember Ice Dragons except in the separate story.

Old Nan used to tell tales of the ice dragons to Jon, and he remembers back to her tells on 2 or 3 different occasions. Also the maester at the citadel (I forget his name) believed that the tells of sailors mishaps at the Shivering Sea was actually encounters with ice dragons.
But it's mainly Nan's tells to Jon that make me think there might be some foreshadowing of Ice Dragon. But Since they haven't been mentioned on the show, I'm starting to doubt they make a true impact in the battle of the long night.

Isn't the theory that the dragons are either in the Wall or under Winterfell?
Posted on 4/3/16 at 9:46 pm to wildtigercat93
Just watched a video on it and it's pretty convincing but it makes some leaps
Basically it was old nan, the video game series that has a title about Ice Dragons, and the Godswoods/the Wall mixed in
Also talk a lot about an old book GRRM wrote about ice dragons that he has neither confirmed or denied that the book takes place in the same universe as ASOIAF

Under Winterfell or so I thought. Isn't that what might create the warm springs there?

But that would have to be a regular dragon since ice dragons supposedly breath cold, not fire.

True. I am just a casual book reader and show watcher and remembered something about a dragon possibly under Winterfell.

I don't really follow the GoT theories all that much. Has it been suggested before that maybe the white walkers aren't the bad guys? I mean what do we really know about them?
How crazy would it be if the "Song of Ice and Fire" was Jon submitting himself to the Nights King and becoming a super-other to destroy some unrevealed foe? (children of the forest?) This is of course assuming that Jon is AA.
All I know is that GRRM loves to tear down our preconceived notions.

I know, right. You can make out its wings and torso
Anyone care to take a screenshot and outline the ice dragon, because I'm not seeing it.
I was terrible at those pictures in the mall with the weird patterns, but if you looked just right, you could see a boat or something.

Yeah, it's been suggested. I don't buy it though considering one thing we do know is that the are created from sacrificed or stolen human babies.
