Anyone care to take a screenshot and outline the ice dragon, because I'm not seeing it.
I said it's a dragon, but no idea if Ice or not.
Watching the GIF again, a waft of smoke overlaps smoke in front of it, making it darker by layering. The dark smoke morphs into a dragon shape flapping its wings as it moves L to R with the smoke.
I would call it coincidence, but why does the camera pan up with it dead center screen if not intentional?
With the GoT messed up timeline between POVs, it could be Drogon for all I know.

maybe the white walkers aren't the bad guys?
They're not.
Neither are the Boltons, Freys, The Mad King, The Children of the Forest, Ceirse, Carson, Blueboy, OMlandshark....

Has it been suggested before that maybe the white walkers aren't the bad guys?
But, Meera's family has an ancient connection to the Children, so I'm not quite sold.

accept his legacy and responsibility as Rhaegar's heir and to save the world from the Others when he gets in a duel with Ramsay. It really should be the best duel in the series, and Ramsay gets more pissed the more he and Jon realize he's the real thing, and Ramsay is just a bad joke. Then in the middle of the duel, Jon hacks a leg off, the Others break through the Wall, and Ramsay is unable to flee as he's brutally killed by them.
I think you're right, but I hope you aren't. John embracing his identity as heir and driving back the Others is far too similar to Tolkein. I'm going to be deeply disappointed with the series if Jon = Aragorn. Their plots already parallel on way too many details, both significant and not.

Im not a big believer in the Ice Dragons. Really seems as if it would come right the hell out of nowhere. I feel sure the Ice Spiders exist though.
Aren't Ice Dragons mentioned more in the series than the Ice Spiders?
Not sure if you've read his children's book "The Ice Dragon", but it's an interesting read. He's said it isn't connected to ASOIAF but so many details relate to what we see in the series. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see an Ice Dragon. However, I also won't be surprised if there isn't.

I don't really follow the GoT theories all that much. Has it been suggested before that maybe the white walkers aren't the bad guys? I mean what do we really know about them?
In another book of GRRM's the enemy is essentially created by the natural inhabitants of the world as backlash to the invaders.
So one theory is that the White Walkers were actually brought about by the CoTF to fight back against the first men, who were chopping down the weirwoods and essentially screwing up the CoTF's homeland. Which in a lot of ways makes sense, seeing as the coming of the first men has slowly but surely eradicated the CoTF. What this doesn't explain IMO is the absence and resurgence of the WW's after 8,000 years or so. But regardless, it brings a lot of current environmental allegories to the table, which is a very author thing to do.

I considered this as a possibility, but Martin wrote too many good jokes for Bloodraven/Maynard Plumm in The Mystery Knight for me to believe that he is a true "bad guy" in this Universe.

Oh wow - this was one of my crackpipe theories way back, but I added that the CotF either ARE them (a faction that were so skilled with magic, they gave themselves power to use the dead as an army, became twisted and evil a la Tolkien's Orcs) or they summoned or woke them to fight the Andals, then lost control of them and best they could manage was to put them back to sleep till Winter.

Really, I've scoured just about everything GRRM has written about this world, his short stories completely separate from it, Wildcards, Dreamsongs 1&2...even watched Sun Kings adaptation and his one Twilight Zone episode...read it all except for Fevere Dream and Armageddon Rag looking for clues as to WTF he may do here...
And I got zilch. NADA.
I did find a story "Meathouse Man" that he penned...and it is more twisted and sicker than anything King ever thought of.
It was in a collection of "extreme fiction"
I couldn’t believe he wrote it.
It's pretty...fricking gross.

I watched an incredibly boring video that made the argument that Ned/Brandon Stark/and Ashara Dane were in a love triangle and Ned wanted to leave Catylin for Ashara after the TOJ and most of it was based on Meathouse man
Meathouse man was written after two girlfriends leaving him for other men

I don't buy it though considering one thing we do know is that the are created from sacrificed or stolen human babies.
I think humans have done worse to one another with wars, killing, torturing, killing babies.
At least the WWs can get along with their own kind.

I mean the WW's were technically just saving those poor baby boys from freezing to death.

Craster made an agreement with them. WWs didn't make him knock up his daughters.

So what does the moral compass read on what WW do...as it truthfully appears to be the opposite of the killing that men do.
WW don't really kill, either. They assimilate.

Maybe they are reacting to humans breaking a truce. Maybe the wall was part of the truce that the WWs put up so humans stay on their side. Maybe they are sensing the fire threats(dragons, Rhllor) and they have to do what they do for survival.
For a fan to think that WWs are just evil killing blindly with no purpose... he/she haven't been paying attention.

But human's aren't created by human/baby sacrifice. And just because humans are evil, that doesn't mean that the Others aren't evil as well.

What about all of the sacrifices that the Night's King made to the Others back during the Age of Heroes? Tales are still told in the North about that guy's horrific reign.

So apparently episode titles 2 and 3 have been confirmed as 'Home' and 'Oathbreaker,' respectively. Also, Thoros is apparently coming back.
Not sure if this is old, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to post.
As much as I don't like it, it seems like LSH may be appearing after all.
