My first thought when watching that scene is that they look like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

I think D&D put it well I'm the inside the episode clip
Basically said that the Nights King just thinks he's going to wreck through westeros with no resistance until he sees Jon kill his battle commander and then he is very interested in Jon and his sword.
I think he sees Jon as a real threat, possibly the only threat he has ever even thought about
