She did but she put up a much stronger front in the book. Also you didn't get the guy singing the number one hit bear song so spys couldn't hear the conversation. At the end of the conversation she breaks down and tells them Joffrey is a monster.
Gotcha, for some reason I remember being angry with how that chapter played out but I guess I am remembering incorrectly.

Why would they think the Boltons are conspiring against Robb right now. The Boltons took back winterfell for them and Robb is leaving Harrenhall for the Boltons to control. There is no way the readers think the Boltons are bad guys right now and they don't know who the hell is torturing Theon. I thought the line was awful but the readers probably just assume robbs army is losing morale because even though they are winning these battles they are still losing the war and Robb has blatantly pissed off a chunk of his army with the Freys marrying this unknown girl. People aren't going to think the Freys are going to kill Robb.
I fail at reading

Does anyone else think the RW is going to turn off viewers?

Yes, he's a badass in the show and the leader of the Starks as of now.
Catelyn is also a highly sympathetic character in the show, much more so than in the books IMO.

A lot of viewers see Robb as sort of a hero. He's the one trying to avenge his father's death, fight the Lannisters and always do the right thing.
Viewers will be more upset over his death than readers were because he is presented as a main character on the show.

the longer the war goes on, the longer he puts up with his mother, the more i dislike his character (book and movie).
the book showed him from Cat's POV always pointing out when he was acting like a little boy. the show is filled with him being powerless to control his mother. while i understand, it's irritating to watch.

My friends keep complaining that "nothing good ever happens to anyone" but yet they love the show. I honestly think the RW might turn a few of them off...

I pretty much agree, though i was rooting for him because the starks have just been shitted on. (200 + pages into feast)
