If true - this confirms it was GRRM’s plan all along and makes some posters in this thread look retarded.
The tweet is true, GRRM re-tweeted this and said "This guy gets it"
Which, like I said a few pages back, all the major plot points were from GRRM. What would be even funnier to me is that if the rumor is true that the books 6/7 are done and just waiting for GOT to finish and D&D have been pulling from source material the whole time
i would

I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t kill her in the books and disappointed if he goes down with her. I don’t think that Jaime talking with Jon in the second episode was a throwaway line, and Jaime’s true destiny lies with Jon.
Prepare to be shocked

Has anybody wondered wtf the criteria was for being Cersei's Queen's Guard?
Cuz, they sucked bad.
Sandor is a badass, but no Arthur Dayne.

I’m not mad about Dany going crazy. I saw that one coming for a while. I’m mad about how shitty it’s all coming together. Nothing really seems out of the realm of possibility but it’s all just missing nuance and subtlety.

Killing nobles in Mereen without trial against her advisors advice
Burned a Mereneese nobleman alive without trial or even charges
She knew her dragons were dangerous when the killed an innocent kid, but brought them back out as soon as it could help her purpose

Episode title is "The Bells"
I would say to update the OP but I love the Long Melt, it's so relevant

Yeah I’m just treating the last two seasons as a different show in some ways
The patience and subtlety and mystery is gone, but it’s still a fun show for me.

Episode should have ended with Tyrion watching the city burn from afar while drinking and being filled with regret over killing Varys.

I think that this season is just a concussion PSA. The show will fast forward 5 years and Arya will have CTE from all the brain injuries and then murder suicide Gendry.

I mean she had reason to, but it’s not like she gave them all a trial first. Some of them could have been innocent
How about locking up her handmaiden and the black dude from Qarth to die a slow, agonizing death instead of how every other death for cause was carried out?

These are all things done to her enemies or people who have wronged her.
No one is going to call you mad and back-stab you for treating your enemies harshly.
But she has done nothing to show she will harm innocent people until this moment.

This is the correct take.

Yeah but all other enemies have been given swift deaths
Killing someone without trial would be a pretty big no-no at any time. It’s why her advisors were so against it
At the very least, she has shown a penchant for violence above and beyond. She is the only person in the show besides Ramsey that I remember torturing anyone that she intended to kill

Exactly
I mean she basically said as much in the episode

She was resigned to the fact that she would burn the city when she said that mercy was her strength for future generations but fear was her strength for the people currently living.
