Every episode that isn’t the battle of the bastards is the worst episode ever now. I can’t imagine going through life not at least enjoying this episode. Was it perfect? No. But it was an incredibly entertaining non-battle episode.
I’ve seen way more posts in this thread bitching about the complainers than I’ve seen actual posts that are critical of the episode ironically enough
Maybe try to be less affected by other people’s opinions

I just think the clapping was over the top and out of place. And made me think of the meme.

This was a good episode last week was garbage

The last 3 seasons are worst the than the first 4. True or false?

In the last few seasons they’ve really dumbed it down.
I think tonight was the worst example of that. The way Dany reacted to the news was so hamfisted, like they were having to spell it out for people who had never watched the show before.

The only thing missing was at least one scene at KL. I doubt there will be one next week and 2 episodes is too long to not even touch on half the storyline.
Isn’t that half of the storyline basically Cersei waiting for winterfell to be wiped off the map?

Early on the show is sort of a niche thing, so the people who like it aren't burdened by the mainstream label that they painstakingly avoid. The book readers are relatively rare and think they're God's gift to mankind as the show evolves. Now that 15 million people watch every Saturday, they go out of their way to talk about the show being dumbed down and how it lost its soul. Whatever vague BS they can come up with in order to justify watching a show with 15 million fans instead of their own little group of book readers. They're mainstream now, and they absolute hate themselves for it.
An alternative theory: Perhaps the show has indeed slipped a little in overall quality since the early seasons?
Perhaps as a show grows in popularity, that popularity can sometimes slightly change how the writers write it.

I've never thought of it in that way. I've enjoyed them all.
I know that's not the answer for which you're looking, but that's all I've got right now.

Some lighthearted ribbing and some of you people think we hate the episode. Sheesh. As bad as star wars fanboys
From here to the OT, you ruin a lot of threads with your constant ramblings.

Give me a break. Most episodes don’t have fighting. And they’re good. I liked what they did with this but I didn’t need a whole hour of it.

It was a cash cow, maybe they really wanted to expand the audience?

WHy did I get this feeling the show boaters were trying to ship us Theon/Sansa this episode?
She seemed wayyyyy to happy to see him.
I think it was the final goodbye for Theon moreso than being about Sansa although Dany could have learned two lessons tonight from Sansa. One of them was during that scene and you could see the look on Dany’s face of jealousy. So nothing learned there. The other one was during dany and sansa’s scene, which judging by the look on dany’s face in that one, she showed anger. Again, nothing learned there.

Whether it has or not, the criticism from the original fans was coming regardless, as if it's their show and their show only. The fact that everyone and their brother watches now means the OG fans are going to be hypercritical. They don't want to be caught dead simply enjoying a show the masses like too.

I liked the ep alot
look, yes the dialogue seems forced without George's lead but I've grown used to it by now, maybe it's just me
the tension and buildup for episode 3 will make it all worth it
I'm just simple to please though

Theon saved her from being raped everyday by a monster.
But yeah it’s weird she was happy to see him

I don't think GoT has gone off the feminism deep end like some people have, but God damn, every other scene is in this episode was some young girl talking about fighting or showing off what bad arse fighters they were. It's getting hard not to roll eyes.
How is this what people are taking from that episode? This literally never crossed my mind.
