more on the Night King in control of Bran theory; the Wall is big, it's nice that Bran has the birds fly right to the spot that is going to be breached.

Night King tagged him that day with a transmitter and radio, he can listen in and gather intel. He drove Bran south, drove him to Winterfell, so he has a man on the inside.
Targareans as politicians don't concern him, but their dragons and Valerian steel do- and now he knows his enemy have both. He grew concerned when Jon killed the other White Walker with the sword, now he knows why and how. And now with Sam's help, he found the wedge to divide Jon from Dany, severely weakening Jon's position. So he's playing that to create maximum strife and disorganization before he strikes.

Let's see if he prompts a funny reaction from Ghost, that might be a tip.

probably so

Just digging for intrigue. There's going to be something unexpected, that has been set up for several seasons. At least, you'd think so, otherwise this complex and devious show will end with a straightforward race to the finish line.

Bran being corrupted is something that could fit. His character changes after the cave, he becomes the 3ER but he also could be just snared in the NK's web.
Dany going nuts is something that could fit too, but it's almost too obvious, and she did things for "the right" reasons early on- end slavery, end oppression, etc.

There aren't a lot of other twists left, that wouldn't seem kinda meaningless against the backdrop of the impending apocalypse.
That's part of the reason I wonder about Bran and the stuff he's spreading. Him being the reason the Wall actually failed would be a subtle thing, the Dead could come through eventually just by burrowing. Getting the dragon was an unexpected bonus that sped the process immensely. Now when the hammer is about to fall, Bran is suddenly concerned about birthrights and heritage, instead of having the strongest possible force to resist the onslaught.
He barely acknowledged Meera after getting to Winterfell, but he's concerned about Littlefinger wronging Ned and the Starks.
Just an odd disconnect, sometimes he doesn't seem to care at all, other times he "shows" he's still a Stark.

You got any crazy theories that aren't being discussed?

"Night King sends his regards", at Jon and Daenerys' wedding?

Fades to white and then black. Credits roll.

I think that today's climate would love for this to end with a female ruler, but the prophecy says that Dany will have a son.

She'll have a son raised by Sansa and Theon.

Or maybe Jon and Danny's son becomes the new knight king. Maybe the child is the sacrifice for the end of the war? .....

And Brann is trying to split them up to keep her from getting pregnant.

I do not want to believe that pay-off closed the books with Sam.

I keep going back and forth with what I think will happen to Jaime.

I think Sansa, Arya,Daenerys and the Northern Lords will all want to kill him obviously. During his trial/mtg, I think Bran intervenes someway and end the end he's pardoned

Honestly you make a strong case. I could kind of see this happening and being a pretty good twist

Do you really think the show will end with Jon Snow sacrificing a baby? A baby we clearly don’t have time to come into existence?

Bran will end up being the nightking IMO. He is going to get stuck trying to change the past from the nightking being created.

I see this as Bran will try and take him over like he did with Hodor to end the battle in Winterfell.

It would be sweet if Hodor had been turned into a Wight and Bran could still warg into him

Better yet, if Arya can change her face into the Night King or a White Walker.
