So what's the deal with Jaime? She gave the nod to the mountain who unsheathed his sword then Jaime just said "I don't believe you" and left? Was the mountain supposed to kill him and didn't? I guess the nod from Cersie wasn't the order to kill Jaime like it appeared?

I thought about this too when they were talking afterward. I feel certain this didn't apply to the women.

Don't think a women has ever been in charge of the North before. Statement applies to whoever leads the north. Not gender biased at all, especially when it was still a women who did the killing.

Just like Yara leading the greyjoys was still supposed to fill the role that leaders of the iron islands filled before her.

The long awaited day has finally come.

Petyr's death was not very satisfying, but his character was getting stale anyway.

I love that Jon is Aegon. I'm sure that sticks up a few people's asses, which is awesome, and we got some hot forbidden love.

Fan service everywhere. Get used to it with only 6 episodes left. It seems fairly predictable, just a matter of picking the survivors.

The nod was to draw. The next signal was to kill.

People Cleganebowl WILL happen. the Hound dropped a nugget of foreshadowing at the dragon pit

I wanted to quit watching the show when Cersei said she'd help. That would've made less sense than any of the things that made no sense in the last two episodes. Thank god it was all nonsense.

Yeah. Cersei is a completely unreasonable person. I still think the plan to get the wight was retarded given who they were trying to convince. At best she'd make the White Walkers the King over charred bones and cooked meat.

There was a bunch of time left on the episode (due to 10 minutes of post show stuff) that I had hope that he would catch up with the Hound and that crew and the mountain would show up and we'd get Clegane Bowl

But alas, no

Does anyone agree that this was the best episode of the series? It didn't have a Blackwater or battle of the bastards scene, but from beginning to end it was nonstop suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My hope of Cersei + Littlefinger at the end is vanquished though ??

Bronn made it through another season. Jeff and his shed don't have shite on all those death flags he has dodged.

So I thought the wall was guarded by magic? All it took was for Viserion to blast it with ice fire?

The best thing out of that whole sequence is that we got a very strong Cleganebowl foreshadowing...

am I just stupid or am i not understanding how the dragon brought the wall down?
I thought it was magic or some shite

Dragons are creatures that are imbedded and project magic. Once Dany's dragons were born, magic as a whole got much, much more powerful throughout the world. If there's any creature that can bring down the Wall, it is a dragon.

I was a little worried because they started off with like 10 minutes of the same lazy character interaction and exposition that they did north of the wall last episode that was just kind of bad writing /directing despite some good dialogue

But everything after that was JIMP worthy

The end makes it seem that Tyrion realizes that this new coupling (Jon and Dany) may not be a good thing.

I think he'll double cross her at the end in favor of his family.

Very likely yes

They're not going to cocktease and appropriate death last episode just to give him an anticlimactic one the next.
