Yeah, didn't have HBO for like 2 years, and it was nice skipping those sequences which ruined everything. Fortunately the leak had none of that "Previously On" garbage last week, so Hodor's death was a big time surprise. When I watched it live, I couldn't help but feel they ruined it for the Maesters.

Not really. It just lets you know what subjects will be covered in the episode. They have to do it to remind Hodor types of what is going on, because of all the characters and story lines.

I know they have to pander for the ADD viewers that can hardly remember their own name, but can they make it optional or something? I really dont want to know exactly what stories are going to come up that leads me to essentially know whats probably going to happen that episode

especially when they name drop in there someone that hasnt been around in a while

Do they really need to show a preview of Arya leaving the Hound if hes going to be in a future episode? Do they need to undercut the surprise that much?
