Would be a jump shark moment of Jon was like "I'm going to go kill all the white walkers by myself"

Could Jon have seen him while he was dead?
No, he saw nothing, so HBO could get its atheism merit badge.

Now all they need is trannies and they'll be Webelos.

But I wonder what ya'll think about Jon and the title of episode 3?

Did he break his oath; and will that stand with his father's bannermen?

As is the case with most of the Episode titles, it can be applied in multiple ways.

Oathbreakers from Episode 3:

Jon Snow - technically he didn't break his oath, but his enemies didn't see the resurrection and will certainly use that against him.

Small Jon Umber - turned on the house that he swore allegiance to (or did he..).

Jaime and Cerci - both tried to sit on the Small Council and both are oathbreakers in more ways than one.

Arya - swears she is no one, but she will always be a Stark.

Masters of Astapor and Yunkai - funding the Harpies against their Queen.

This is in reference to something that is going to be mentioned to directly during the episode, but since the stranger represents death the title could be applied in many ways.

I think he was bluffing to Mel on this. I have to believe he saw something and is keeping it close to vest at the moment. He didn't want to divulge it to anyone right now.

The Stranger is one aspect of a single god - death. Faith in the Seven is monotheism.

I agree that the "stranger" part of the title is likely the Stranger. Maybe this is an Arya episode, since she essentially does the work of the Stranger?

Maybe a girl has passed the test and will be given the Assassins for Dummies book?
