Well then I'm wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.
I just think it'd be a great twist when Ramsay is on the verge of winning the Battle of the Bastrds, LF comes over the hill with his army and finishes off the Boltons. Then when they think they're saved, LF's army starts attacking Jon's and they retreat, unfortunately leaving Sansa behind. So LF gets Winterfell, but is quickly fricked by other outside influences. It would be reminiscent of the Clash of Kings battle where Ramsay saves Theon but ends up brutally betraying him.
That's just the way I hope it ends at least.

I do think LF's army will show up in time to help finish off the bolton's. He would be wise to continue to be on Sansa and Jon's side for now. if I were Sansa, Lf would have some explaining to do about a few things before I could trust him again. But helping defeat the Bolton's is a damn good start to proving himself to Sansa. Then he can swear up and down he had no idea ramsey was a psycho and he would have never left her there if he had known. I haven't decided what his excuse will be about not revealing Jon was still alive to her.

I think TOJ serves several purposes.
1. Gives Bran the knowledge about Jon and possibly motivates him to go reunite with Jon and Sansa.
2. Gives the Hodors the knowledge of Jon's parents.
3. Sets up the Howland Reed story

For some reason I feel like the three eyed Raven will pull Bran back before we get to Lyanna and they'll revisit it in a later episode or the season finale. D&D aren't going to give us what we want two episodes in a row like that.

He can't continue that bullshite argument with Sansa for much longer. Sansa will figure everything out, and soon. I think the words "soft heart" will be the final thing, but honestly Sansa is too smart to let this go on for much longer.
